JKR's Website - a must see!!

Postby Mint » Wednesday 19 May 2004 7:28:01pm

I know most of u dont go to "JKRowling" section of our forum (shame on u all!!  ) So you probably didn't read saberkitty 's post telling u to go see the new and improved official JKR 's website.

The website has JKR disproving some of the rumors, really cool stories about her childhood, and much much more. And what is more important is that JKR said that she WILL put the some cool info for book 6 at some point, but u gonna have to find it on her website o_o!!!

Oh and no calling Lord Voldemort "Voldie" anymore!!! (that was the official message from JKR XD LMAO (really!!)) lol, us slytherins support this!!!! :evil grin:

(u guys REALLY have to read it!! Go see saberkitty's post for a link in JKR section)

What's up with the flask thingy on the links page? I clicked on it and it just disappeared. And on the main page (er, desk?), there's what looks like a hair tie that leads to the outside of a locked door.

*a few minutes later*
It happened again! I cliked on a quill pen and it disappeared! :???:

I'm going to be spending quite a lot of time there during summer vacation.

I just spent almost an hour on her site.
Now I know what Paul ment about not getting anything for his scrap book.
There is a lot of great ancillary information there.
It's kind of like the special features on a DVD.

One thing though I will probably still refer to LV as Voldie sometimes in my posts Sorry JK it's a free country

Cool site. I have found everything for the hidden potion except the bug!
Oh has anyone been able to click on that damn fly?
I think if you can something might happen.

For the phone number, try to remember one or two scenes in book 5 where our heroes have to call a number, which would, if you wrote it on a cell phone (you know, 1=ABC 2=DEF and so on), mean "MAGIC".

Alice I:
It should be the spider crawling on the desk (main page + extras as well, I suppose) sometimes. I can't find the leaves or whatever it is.

I've only found "Ancient drawings Page 4" and a "Very early page of Philosopher's stone" up to now, but I haven't spent very much time on the site yet.

Thanks I clicked on the spider and got my extra thing for finding all the potion ingredients. It was an section cut from PSS.

If you want to find the leaves look on the page that has the drawing of the cauldron and potion ingredients. It's there somewhere

Yep, that's all that I've found.

Awesome! I just went back to her site and now it's light out! Before it was dark because it was dark when I went there last time.
And the cell phone rang. I answered it (clicked the green button) and someone said "hello... is anyone there???" :???:

I found 4 stuff - those two including page of doodlings and first typed manuscript of PS.

You know that door and the mirror beside it. Well - I can't open that door and so can't the guys from this other foum I'm on - and I've been thinking - maybe that mirror is suposed to be the mirror of erised cause it shows the open doors and that's what we desire, right??

I think that's J.K. voice - she "called" me too

The site is really GREAT!!!!

It uses Macromedia flash for the animated version of the site. Depending on which browser you use, if you've got flash working, you should see a moving image on the bottom of the page at http://www.macromedia.com/shockwave/welcome/ . If you don't, and you see a panel with the word click, you can click to download the flash plugin. :-)

The phone rang for me too but I had so many windows open, I couldn't find the right one at the time, so she hung up before I could answer. :-?
