Why are girls pack animals?

Postby Dumbledores Master » Wednesday 14 April 2004 3:55:56pm

I really like this girl in school and at every party my friends urge me to ask her to dance. I think she likes me but the facts are always messed up and I am like the main subject of the second teir of popularity Her friends are always there and i feel really embarassed about it. People ask her out for me and ask her to dance with me and she says yes to the dancing but no to going out. But at these parties all boy/girl dances end in pulling. I just really need advice.Calling all girls PLEASE HELP ME.

Hmmm, I don't know you're age, so please tell us. But is there any way you can get her phone number? It's probably easier to ask her out on the phone, one to one.

I think a phone call is a good piece of advice, but it could also be a little confusing because you actually don't see each other and can get some reactions wrong...

hmmm...13.Very hard to find a serious and steady girlfriend at this age :(
Everything comes and goes, so my advice is if you like each other and she's single ask her out.The hell with her friends. When you really like her and you're with each other the whole world shouldn't matter :) .I'm 14 and people think i don't know what i'm saying, but they get very mad when i'm right  .If nothing works be funny or be a deep thinker-as if you are kinda mature-it works for me and i'm not even one bit popular-i'm even very unpopular, because i don't follow the newest cool thing, i don't follow even what i like, but what i think is the most rational thing to do

offtopic:or just find Girls by Beastie Boys :P

Thirteen... at that age I still thought girls were gross. I was a very immature 13yo.

Seriously dude, I know you may not want to hear this, but you are both still very young. It's entirely possible that she's not interested in guys yet. I wasn't interested in girls until I was quite a bit older. My advice would be to just be freinds for a while and see how she feels.

If she doesn't want to go out with you, try not to feel too upset. Maybe she's just not ready for that sort of stuff.

As a girl, it looks to me like she must like you or she wouldn't of said that she would dance with you. I'm guessing that she probably want's to get to know you better one step at a time. You would never go out with a stranger, would you? It's always better to get to know someone a bit first, saves all that chucking each other if she gets on your nerves! Next time she says yes to dancing, dance with her. Use it as an opportunity to talk to her, find out more about her let her find out more about you. You never know she might find you irresistable and ask YOU out!

the best thing you can have is self-confidence if the girl says no then make it look as though it really doesnt bother you even if her friends laugh because the whole confidence thing will possibly intrigue her to get to know you a bit better. It has thus far never failed for me (being confident about yourself that is) so if that doesn't work you have the full permission of " Emma 'im a real witch'" to smack me. Incidentaly Emma is my sister and introduced me to this site so hi there everybody :welcome:

You're THIRTEEN!!!! She's doing what she's supposed to do at thirteen. Giggling, he-likes-you-so-do-you-like-him thing...

It's entirely possible that she doesn't act like she wants to "go out" with you because she can't "go out." TONS of girls have these old-fashioned dads who don't allow them to act like they're seventeen, eighteen or twenty-one when they're thirteen years old. Can you believe it??? (I hope you're catching the sarcasm here, 'cause I'm laying it on pretty thick.)

Act like a thirteen year old. Don't get hung up on the she-won't-go-out with me thing. Enjoy this stage, you'll miss it when it's gone.

I gotta agree with Athena here.

As stated before, when I was thirteen, I was not the least bit interested in the opposite gender.

If I had a thirteen year old daughter, I wouldn't let her "go out" either, because that is way too young to be dating.

Seriously man, when you are older there will be plenty of time for that sort of thing. This stuff never works out when you rush it.

IMHO you would be best to take an "ewww, girls" attitude on the matter.

Just make sure you are doing it for the right reasons too. Do you want to get to know her better, or do you want to start dating 'cos everyone else is doing it? You don't have to conform to what all of your freinds are doing, you should feel okay with doing what you feel is right for you at the moment. (Believe me man, there is no bigger turn on than a guy who isn't afraid to be different.)

 no offense, but if we're talking thirteen-year-olds, I think giving the guy "turn-on" tips should be limited.

just messin.

I think at thirteen, it's completely normal and healthy to be curious about sexuality, dating, and the like. And it's completely normal to think that you can handle it. You're at an awkward age that I still wonder if I'm out of where you feel like a kid part of the time and an adult part of the time, and these days, we seem to be pushing kids into the adult world sooner and sooner. At thirteen, my friends and I knew nothing about boys, but these days, kids know so much.

The thing to remember is that you are still thirteen. That's difficult for someone who in most other respects is expected to be acting like an adult, but you're still basically a kid. Enjoy it. It goes by too fast.
