...and are they important? I think I read somewhere that we'll find out about which Professors are married and to whom...will any of them will be married to each other?
Lordy, I can't imagine SNAPE married!!!
What are your thoughts...will it solve mysteries knowing about the spouses or simply generate more questions?
I think I remember reading somewhere the idea that Snape actually had a thing for Lily... 'course that's irrelevent now, but it might show he actually liked SOMEONE...
I think possible spouses or children could really be of importance! Just imagine Voldemort found out that Dumbledore or Snape had people that really, deeply matter to them. He'd certainly use it against them.
As far as I remember, JKR said that information was kinda restricted, because it is like a dangerous secret, and it aould go with what I just said, especially for DD and Snape.
they olny call the Professer so u cant tell and they seem always at school and sanpe and some of the of professeres are in the O of the P and have to do things to kill Voldemort
Hmmm...I am sure some of them have spouses...but why don't we seem them at the holidays? And where do they live? Where exactly do the professors live, and if so do they live with their spouses???? This is a brain buster, eh?
I think book 5 made it clear that the teachers live in the castle (Trelawney does, anyway, and I would assume the others would, as well). Good question on the holidays, etc. thing... hmmm....
I assumed they live in the castle, but where? Are there special teacher dormitories where they live, because it is most probable that they DO have spouses (since I doubt they take a vow of celibacy) I wonder where in the castle they live with their families??? Do they have homes out side of school??? It is all such a mystery
Were the teachers go at hilidays has always been a mistery, I dont see any teachers maintaining a lasting relacionship with anybody... imagine the strain of not seeing your loved ones for 9 months...
Well, we are probably supposed to question this (at least about what teachers do outside of school and on holidays) since Harry does. He wonders where Dumbledore is on summer vacation, imagining him at a beach somewhere, and finds it odd that McGonagall turns up at 12 Grimmauld Place in a muggle dress and coat... hmmmmm... very interesting... very interesting indeed...
I suppose there must be some sort of appartments in such a large castle for the married teachers to live with their familes, I mean they must have families and such and I think we will see them later in the books...unless some of them live away from the castle...hmmm...what do teachers do in real life boarding schools??? I dunno, these things do exist in rural Wisconsin, so I have no idea how boarding schools operate.
That is the part that really miffs me...when do they have time with their families, eh??? But then you know, unless things are really weird there, they probably don't take a vow of celibacy so they must be atleast allowed to have a family you know. But you never know, maybe the families eat at the staff table and JKR never told us.
doesn't she describe who's at the staff table at some point? I was thinking that in Book 5, she names everyone sitting at the staff table at the Welcoming Feast...
