What if Harry had a sister?!

Ok...this is going to sound soap opera-ish but what if Harry had a twin sister? younger or older sister? (one of those 3 possibilities) and the parents were told of Voldemort going to kill them and sent Harry's sister off to America or another country to save her the day before the killing and was going to do the same with Harry but was too late to do so because they needed to not look suspicious or whatever?! 0_o...that'll be cool but then it'll be too late to introduce her in the books!

wouldn't that be sort of intersting? then he needs to save his family and friends and have mroe trouble with the sister around.....0_o

Well there is no real reason for voldermort to want to kill a sister of harry's as it was harry he marked as his equal, and harry that he must kill. The sister would be no more involved that harry's parents were... ie she owuld only have to die if they stood in the way of voldermort killing harry

Voldemort enjoyed killing. That would be a good enough reason for him to kill Harrys' sister.

If Harry learned about this sister and she would then join Voldemort, that would give a whole other dimension to the story, comparable with maybe Ron joining Voldemort? I've read some rumours/theories that Ron will do just that!
But if Harry never knew about this sister, and he learns of her existence only after she has joined LV, I think he wouldn't have a bond with her and it wouldn't matter as much to him as in the other case..

But anyway, it would be interesting if this sister was older than Harry, because then she might know a lot of things about their parents!
And I bet Harry would love to learn more about them!

but his sister might be a target... hostage, u kno. it would add a new dimension to the story. maybe that is why there r no relatives, it would make harry even more vulnerable than he is already

It is so weird to see this topic here considering that I play a character on another site that is Harry's twin sister. I have always thought this would be a cool twist on the subject.

I think Harry having a twin sister would make an excellent twist to the story. But I think that she should've been introduced in the 1st book and maybe put in to Slytherin and then she starts dating Malfoy. But then in the 7th book she doesnt turn evil and shes the key to defeating Voldemort as she has the same birthday as Harry and the book said something about Harrys birthday being important. Mabe she has to die in order to kill Voldemort.

or mabye they were seperated at birth and harry nor voldemort knew about her and lilly and james never got to tell anyone. but i dont know where she would be what about with dumbledore? any way then she would go to hogwarts and finally meet harry and together they fight off voldemort

i think that conclusion is interesting and wierd at the same time. i donno what would happen i know there would be alot of new emotions. And if they were seperated at birth that would be so messed up! i donno its just a thought
