Harry going to die???? (spoilers)

Postby Sacred Guardian » Friday 4 July 2003 1:14:27am

i don't know if this has been brought up somwhere else, cause i've been gone for 2 weeks, havn't finished the book, and don't want to sift through 36 posts in this forum, but i had an idea when ron was appointed prefect, and then got on the quidditch team

*What if ron, becomes quidditch captain next year, b/c harry wasn't their last year, and everyone else has left, and then keeps his grades up and becomes head boy, and then in 7th year wins the quidditch and houses cups? Well i guess you are saying so what? what does that have to do with harry dying, well, think way back to the first book. What did ron see in the mirror of Erised? Himself as headboy, quidditch captain holding the quidditch and house cups. And what did harry see? Himself with all his family. Well he can't be with his family b/c they are dead, unless he himself dies too. Now i know that DD, but he actually didn't, all he said was that it showed the deepest desires of ones heart, Harry was the one that said that it didnt show the future, but how would he know. It's just an idea, tell me what u think

1st post yay. Yeah, that makes sense, but wasn't the mirror not the future, but your wants and desires. It wasn't a reflection of reality, but of what the looker wants the most.

yeah, but harry said that it wasn't, not Dumbledore, so i think it could be, and remember how harry got the stone? he saw himself getting it, makes you think doesn't it

very intriguing. perhaps the mirror does see into the future. so far all that we've seen in it has come true (well except harry and it's parents of course) very intriguing...

i disagree because Quirrell saw him and Voldemort using the stone through the mirror and how could that be in the future because the stone was destroyed soon after, plus the inscpription around the mirror means something about seeing your heart's desire (if you write it backwards and re do spaces) ...though the whole Ron bit and Harry/Family bit was kinda cool, maybe there is something else to the mirror...who knows right

zledm007, i soak in info like a sponge...how do you think i aced Eberly's essays? anyway...perhaps the mirror shows us their desires, to show a contrast between Ron and Harry's values and what they will strive for in later books...Ron for success and harry to honor his family?????

Hrmm, well I'm thinking that the Mirror has done it's dash... I was all excited, and thinkig that somehow the new mirror woudl ahve some part to play the first time I Read the book, but then on re-reading, I saw that Harry smashed it... Kinda dissapointing to bring in something cool like that only to have Harry break it straight away...

But maybe there are more of them... or maybe he can put it back together??? :???: (doubt it tho!!!)

Mirror

Postby highsorcerer » Sunday 13 July 2003 8:20:40am

"Reparo!" - and the mirror is fixed.

Now, if Sirius left everything he had to Harry, the trio would have the pair of mirrors - very useful for rule-breaking and a nice addition to his current arsenal (invisiblity cloak, maurader's map). Or the trio could give one to Hagrid and not risk travelling to his cabin by night.

They can't give one to Hafrid, cos them sneaking out in the middle of the night to go to see him is one of my favourite part of the books.

Maybe they couls give one to Lupin, so Harry can use it in the way that he was supposed to use it with Sirius.

Hrmm, Reparo! Damn, didnt' think of that one! (I was totally having images in my mind of stickytape and glue!!! Maybe deep down, I really an a muggle! ;) )

That would be really good if he did fix it though, and he found the other mirror! I think that Lupin having it would be a very good idea, then Harry could get advice from him about stuff, or maybe someone like Tonks???

Wonder what happens to all of Sirius's posessions? Does Harry get them, like ownership of the house? Maybe Harry can go live there when he gets totally sick of the Dursleys!!! hehehe

I reckon Harry will inherit all of Sirius's possesions, but he wont be allowed to have them until he's 18-the same way that in real life Charlotte Church isnt allowed the millions shes earnt until shes 18.

P.S. sos to all not brits who may not know who charlotte church is.

Good point Gypsy! Maybe when he 'comes of age' like F&G did in OOTP he will be able to use it all!

Wow, and if he gets Sirius's bank account too, he'll really be rolling in to, after all, his parent's left him a fortune, and you kinda get the impression that Sirius was v well off too (he bought the Firebolt, and that house, :) )

Hrmm, what was this topic about again... (reassuring that I'm a mod here or wot... ;) )

Oh wells, we'll get back to it! :circling:

at what age are you allowed to move out? its 16 in the uk i think ( well you can get married then so i'm assuming that you can move out as well) so maybe harry will move into The house?

but on topic, i don't know if Hary will die. i am Pretty sure that there will be some big red herrings in the book, as there were in OOTP. hmmmm
i hope he doesn't but then i think that someone from his year, someone he knows well will die for him. but then maybe death has been done to death.....
