they modify the chips(mmm potato :) )so it's true that if you wait some time you'll get a better deal.btw have I mentioned why I want an Xbox so badly? It's for 1 game called Fable and I think it's going to be very nice-an RPG(my fav genere)developed with the help of Peter(and I have no idea how to write his last name, but the guy that developed black and white, dungeon keeper, populous and is currently working on The Movies)

yeah :( but quite honestly i remember very little from it ^^' Did u guys read it more then once? i read it once....i dont remember any details...

PS3 - well, the reason why ur friend is telling you this is because when PSII just came out - they had a glitch in it. SO after couple of months they released modified PSII, withouth the glitch. ^^ I will get it once there is gonna be a cool game released on it. (thats what i did last time, and i was just in time for updated PSII)

Krum - oh, Fable ^-^. I think its gonna be the best RPG released on it. It looks very good, though a little gloomy for me. The coolest part of it, I think, is that character changes depending on which environment he spends most of his time in. (pale if in the dungeon, ..)

don't you ppl simply love shooting games like resident evil type? I'm not sure if they are called shooting games...(probably it is just action genre...me bad if I mixed them up  )

Lol...I'm not talking about those counter strike type because, to tell you honestly, I have pretty lousy aim  except when shooting at arcade.
I completed Jurassic Park shooting game at the arcade before!!! but I spent about 20 tokens

No, not me

Shooting Games - I think it is fun to play them with your friends in the arcade but that is about it. And its only cause my friends are there. ^-^
At home they are pointless unless you have a "fake gun" and a big screen TV. (and friends playing it with you)

Action/Adventure games - seem pointless to me and I suck at them anyway. <_<'

Race/Fighting Games - hm... i have one of each....i dont care much for them though....

lol...who owns a 'gun' at home? Better own up now.
It's cheesy shooting at the TV screen...unless yours is a huge screen with a mega stereo system  probably the police would come knocking on your door as well

I love those racing games with special powers like hitting other players with homing missile or some special weapons. Mario go kart and Chocobo racing are one of the few I play.

...and carmaggedon :evil grin:
I remember when I was little I had this games with a duck that you shoot with a fake gun and a dog brings it to you or you shoot some mexican/cowboy dude
and there isn't a single 3rd person action/adventure I haven't completed-try the legacy of kain series(except for blood omen 1-it's a different type of game)

what? gun? i know nothing about it :o *goes to hide things* Lol.

No, but if you go to the arcade - it has fake guns, u know? and u lower them down and recharge them and then you shoot at the big screen.

Why u have different arcades Choki?

Chocobo dungeon - i wanted to play that, but only because it looks so supremely cute *.* The racing game I own is...oh whats its name <_<'...Tricky? o_O no...smth like that. Its a snowboarding racing game. And the only fighting game I own is Soul Calibur (new one).

Eh??? What do u mean?

Of course I know how to reload my gun during an arcade shooting game
No one shoots with a real gun!!! Lol

Snowboarder (I think that's what the game is called), pretty cool but...it gets boring after a while :D
Fighting games like street fighters etc are quite...the same
I even own a Sailormoon fighting game! But it is moving so slow that whatever special power the sailor senshi conjured will be blocked by the other player :-?
Puzzle fighter is the only "fighting" game that I can never get sick of...probably because of my irritating sister who simply loves distracting me with the threats of a combo gem bursting

Krum's right...for a third-person action/adventure game the Legacy of Kain series is pretty good...I've played them all except the first Blood Omen. But they are kind of similar.

The game Mint meant was SSX tricky, the worst of the SSX series and plus, not a good racing game. Not really a genre I play much.

Soul Caliber II is good for a fighting game...just not really designed to be good except for the PS2 controls (I have the XBox Version).

But, as for resident evil (Third-person action/adventure horror)...I liked 2 a lot, one not so much...and prefer Silent Hill overall.

Silent Hill 3 ownz all  .I played it on "hard" both in action and in the puzzles. But the game isn't scary enough :x ...or is it the fact that nothing at all can scare me(except dogs lol )

Blood Omen 1 is not a 3rd person action/adventure game.I've been told it's more like an RPG but that's hard to imagine :o

Dogs? There are a couple of zombie dogs in Resident Evil 2

3rd person action/adventure refers to Resident Evil, Silent Hill type?
That means it is classified as playing the game while you can see your character from a 3rd person view even though you are playing that character...hmmm...confusing classification

So 1st person action/adventure is something like Counter Strike, am I right?

Krum, if nothing scare you, probably you would like to try Fatal Frame where your main character enters a haunted mansion armed with a mere camera :o

and he whacks the evil zombie dogs with a camera I suppose?or he goes on a photo safari for ghosts  .Erm..is Fatal Frame for PC because it sure sounds like a PS game.By the way, there is no such thing as a first-preson adventure(I mean try to navigate around you when you can only look ahead of you)

Lol, the main character of Fatal Frame is a girl!!! She enters the haunted mansion to find her brother who went in and did not return. I guess there are a lot of scary scenes and many sound effects...perhaps some sudden wailing/scream of a ghost. I heard it was one of the top scariest games

I did nagivated using 1st person mode in a game. I can't remember the exact title, but it was a cartridge on SEGA 32-bit console (long time ago) where I have to shoot ppl and aliens and nasty freaky monsters which freaked me out
Lol...I ran out of ammo at a pretty high level (there wasn't any memory card then and the only way is to save the game using password)

You can get 1st person RPG's...like Morrowind, but in that you can change to 3rd-person.

Just for clarification (but choki had it nailed);

1st Person = You control that character but cannot see them (or just their hands), e.g. Doom, Deus Ex, SoF etc, i.e. most shooters.

3rd-person = You control that character and can see all of them, e.g. Devil May Cry, Primal, Legacy of Kain games, Resident Evil, Silent Hill, KoTOR etc. i.e most games.

Silent Hill the original is the scariest game I've ever played, I loved it...hearing static on you radio and knowing there's a monster nearby...but where? Then finding it chewing at your ankles!!
But I had a housmate a few years ago who whenever she got attacked would pull out her map in panic...I found it hysterical..."Stop attacking me, look I'm here so stop it!!".
