annoying cousin

Postby pinky p » Tuesday 29 June 2004 8:06:56pm

these next couple of weeks my cousin is staying with us. my sister is not here so i am expected to spend all my time with her. trouble is, she is annoying. she whines about everything and is totally superficial and... i could go on forever. anyways, she's leaving in a couple weeks, so i don't have to worry about her forever, but does anyone have any advice on dealing with her while she's here???

Just stick her in front of a good forum or videogame
Alternatively you could try to get your family to arrange loads of trips out to museums and stuff for her, but so that you don't have to go( I personally find them boring :) )

yeah... i don't have any way to get around during the day because i can't drive (and even if i could i don't have a car to drive!) and neither does she. my parents and my aunt who she's staying with are all gone at work all day and i'm expected to go with her places.

anyways, her mom is coming so this week should be better

 yeah i agree with gower...when my brother annoys me i pretend to play a computer game and then he really wants to play so i let him and then i´ve got time for me for at least two hours...
Maybe it works...otherwise watch movies with her, go to the city, you can go swimming if it´s hot...just give her something to do... :D

My solution isn't a very polite one but it's what I would do.

As soon as she starts to get annoying just lay down the law. Tell her that you don't have to put up with her s%$@ and if she can't behave like rational mature human being than she's on her own and you'll find something to do on your own like read, get online, watch a movie, whatever. But make it clear that your not going to listen to her idiousies :x
Good Luck :)

Yeah that doesn't work trust me I have cousins just like your pinky.Their really is no solution because in about ten years they will still be really annoying! But what harrylover said could work very well.If she stays busy she wont have time to complain

 yea but i have two of them coming to visit for a day like the day before or the day of my birthday :-( which bites because I had it planned out where i would spend the day with my family and the night with my friends. Now I can't do that because my dad expects me to spend ALL day with them  I mean I dont even know them that well bc one of is like 11 or 12 and the last time acctually spent time with her was when she was 5 and threatened to throw a shoe at me!The other one is like 3 and she was with her parents when they came here to bum money off of us which is usual.I have the fun job of figuring out a "fun-filled day".
