Well I saw PoA on Thursday, absolutely brilliant! And before that I saw labyrinth which is wonderful too especially considering it must be from like the 80s cos the special effects still look good and the soundtrack is superb since its by David Bowie.

Well, I just saw POA last night.

I am going to be the heretical one and say that I really wasn't a huge fan of the movie.

So much important stuff was left out. The flow was choppy and some things didn't make sense if you hadn't read the books. My wife was asking me questions that should have been answered by the movie by weren't. One good outcome is that she said she'll be reading the books now since the back story was so interesting.

First, I saw Shrek 2 this weekend and it was good, funny and worth seeing but not great.

Second, I saw PoA last Friday. There is no point in discussing everything that they left out. But even with that being the case I still thought it the best of the three movies so far. The kids are getting soooo much better. Even Daniel Radcliffe was pretty good and he was definatly the most annoying before ( with the exception of the Weasley twins who have always been frighteningly bad, but even they were pretty good this time).
Certain things really needed to be explained and weren't but you had that in the other movies too.

Overall I was pretty well plaesed with PoA and can't wait for the DVD with deleted scenes (there's always something to look forward to)

I saw Day after tomorrow,in Sunday,and sunday before that Troy...Troy is great,there are even scenes where you can see Brad Pitt's a**,mmmmmm .Day after tomorrow is not bad,but it doesn't have any real story that is happening during the movie,you're just seeing in every scene how America's being destroyed...Typical Holywood movie...

I don't remember that!! There are nudity scenes where you see his side but for all naughty, naughty purposes he's properly cover front and back.

It is probably due to censorship board in different countries. I don't think I saw that too especially Troy has a PG rating not a R21 (MA) rating
Dang, we have sooo many ratings...G, PG, NC16, M18 and R21....Oh well, just a few months more...and I shall be able to watch R21

Last movie I saw was Troy. I rather enjoyed the film.

In a few days I'm going to see PoA. The cinema is holding a marathon, where they will show all three films. I'll probably be too exhausted to enjoy PoA when it gets around to it. When intermissions, credits and such are included... that's like, eight hours Its gonna be a tough night at the movies...

I just saw Supersize me this afternoon. I saw it with my entire family (since dad is up here for my little sister's birthday). We all left the theatre feeling distinctly queasy. Funny thing is, my little sister works for macdonalds. she smelled like maccas too, since she had just been at work not two hours beforehand.

It was good. american sizes are HUGE! a litre and a half of coke???!! that's crazy. I would compare the style to that of a michael moore film/documentary.

Oh and I saw PoA on Friday night, at the imax. It was amazing! i saw it with my cousin, it was a sell-out session. Everyone there was a HP fanatic, and we saw all these kids dressed up as witches and wizards, and even a Mrs Weasley with a funny tea cosy hat on and she was knitting and i think she had a red-haired baby as well! it was so cool!!!!

I've seen "Troy" this weekend. Homer, if he's somewhere up there, must be glad he's blind. Making a 10 year war last 3 weeks is quite amusing. And where were all those gods? But I did enjoy it, it's a nice movie to watch and Orlando is, as always, a pretty decoration. Brad Pitt isn't ugly either...

Last week my friends and I did a little "movie marathon" just after our exams. We saw 4 movies in total (hehe i know sooo many). We first went to see The Day After Tomorrow, then Diarios de Motocecleta (motocycle diaries, the story of Che), then Troy and then FINALLY Harry Potter III. Troy was alright, but I prefered The Day after tomorrow and Harry Potter among the others. Troy was kind of long for me, but even though Harry Potter was long for some of my friends, it seemed like 30 minutes for me!

Thats true, there are a lot of Hollywood movies where the end of days is approaching and the US has to save the whole world, hehe, but I like it how they show their foriegn problems. It is like a statement from the director to the US government. And the movie was slightly predictable, I mean, you knew what was going to happen. Other than that, I liked the effects and stuff.
