I don't know if this is a good theory or not. I didn't even had the time to verify it... But I think that, when one of the twins speak, it is supposely a joke if it's Fred, and a more sirious thing if it is George.

hmmm... i'll keep an eye out for that...

but it's so hard, since they both kinda half-speak... you know, they have a "monologue" together, where they just switch back and forth but say the same thing... where they just kinda finish each other's sentences... almost all the time...

but i'll try paying attention to that when i'm reading

Me too, I have noticed George is more serious :-? and Fred's jokes are more ... daring, provocative ... Fred's jokes are best :D

At highschool we went to see MacBeth but we paid more attention to witches' dance  than their speech, so I don't know.

I also like the way they speak but I wonder - do twins complete each other in reality like this? I guess it depends on personality ... I can conclude just both F&G are perfect company to make jokes for hours

i knpow sme twins who would hate to think of finishing each otyher sentences, it must be something any set of twins must either like or dislike.

i havent niticed the different tones of fred and george but from now on i will be looking out for it

George seems to be the more "reserved" and "sensible" of the twins, if those kinds of words can ever be used to describe them.

thanks highsorcerer.

I agree with Eol, George may be the "brains" of the operation and Fred the "style." But of course they both have brains and style.

Exactly what I think :welcome: ! So, Fred may be better in company of more ppl (joker N°1) but George is better for a talk between 4 eyes (I think he's a better listener). Shame we never have a chance to see twins talk to Harry one by one :( - if they couldn't complete each other's sentences the'y deffinitelly sound more different!

Evil Wizard Petting Zoo, I disagree. I'd rather say Fred is ''daring'' instead of he's got style. They've both got style and I couldn't say who's got more :-? . But George is ''brainy'', yes - in the way he thinks more deeply about things, right?
