from what i've read the way Dumbly speaks of Aberforth he is a bit of a dimwit....the rant about he can't read properly...i agree tho that we will see him later in the series

My bet is that Aberforth will come of greater importance in following books, the fact that Moody knew nearly nothing about him is veru revealing.

Ferrus, it was very lucid indeed Moody must be a walking criminal file, right?

I agree with Nobby, Aberforth & Mundungus must had been be colleagues, if not friends (once upon a time, then there was an argument and Aberforth threw Mundungus out of his bar). They are still very similar, both old wicked crooks! And it makes them fascinating & funny

And more about Dumbledore's childhood too - maybe Aberforth first practiced his nasty spells on his little brother Just a joke, I think Aberforth is much younger and also less competent than Albus. Hey, do you notice both their names begin with ''A''? People like to give their kids names on the same letter
But I don't think Aberforth was a spy for Voldemort. Dumbledore is his brother, he has known Aberforth all his life and he still trusts him.
