Who will return to Hogwarts?

Postby Evil Wizard Petting Zoo » Monday 19 April 2004 3:00:58am

I believe in JKR's recent interview, she says someone will come back to Hogwarts. (If this isn't true or it already has alotta threads lock this up  )
But anyways, I think this has been touched on in some threads but not alot....So the person could come back to be a teacher or student. I think it's going to be Fred and George because they're not the likely choice. Anyone else have any ideas?

Maybe it`s going to be charley teaching DADA? That`d be quite cool. I think it`s likely for some adult wizard we already know to come back as a teacher.

nah, if you're talking about someone we know coming and teaching DADA, I think she'll stick with her habit of having someone we've never heard of before teaching it, and again in book 7.

hmmm... trying to think who it could be...

actually, since Molly and Arthur didn't seem overly upset at Fred and George for leaving school, and since they're obviously successful businessmen, I don't think they'll be returning to Hogwarts, anyway... after all, the only thing they'd do is go back to their ways of getting in trouble with Filch and driving the teachers crazy.

What about Fleur, Krum, or even Gabrielle? After her initial disdain for any school other than Beaubaxons, Fleur apparently had a good experience at Hogwarts when she visited, and she's moved to the area again and is working at the bank or something like that. Anyway, what if Gabrielle gets to go to Hogwarts, instead of going to the school Madam Maxime is headmistress of?

I would like to see Hagrid come back and become a fully qualified wizard. He was innocent and should ever have been expelled in the first place and now that his name has been cleared he should be given a wand and have personal lessons from DD and McGonnagall etc...
It's too bad Dippet isn't a ghost because making him teach Hagrid to fully qualify him would be real justice.

It wasn't Dippet's fault. He had no choice but to expel Hagrid. All the evidence pointed to him at the time and someone had been killed.

Yeah, but I think his interactions with the goblins will become more and more important as the series comes to a close.

Nobby, I'm serious, go back through the books and count up the number of times they talk about goblin rebellions in History of Magic. You know how anytime Harry doesn't pay attention in class, it turns out to be somewhat important (like, he wasn't paying attention when McGonagall was talking about Animagi in the first lesson in PoA)... I think we're going to hear a lot more about the goblins, their power, and why they rebelled so much. Who did they rebel from? For what purpose? What happened?

From what I've gathered, you definately want the Goblins on your side. They have powerful magic (I think Hagrid says that in P/SS), they're in charge of the money (wouldn't it be great if they went to Voldy's side, and were able to fund his rise to power?) they tunnel down below the ground (check out theories regarding Droobles Best Blowing Gum... I think the goblin's tunnelling abilities will come in mighty handy)...

I don't think it'll be Bill or Charlie...

I reckon they rebelled because they wanted to become the ruling species or were being oppressed.

haha
I agree with Athena about the goblins becoming more important. We've never seen an actual conversation before except in SS/PS. I kinda get the impression that they wouldn't be too loyal. But if they did agree to help against Voldemort, they wouldn't be turncoats. But as soon as their "alliance" was up with DD and OoTP, they'd probably go back to doing whatever they want(be it Voldy or OoTP), that is, if their freedoms were given to them.

i think the side which is the most polite will get the goblins

i think there is a better chance of the good side forging an alliance with the goblins now that Fudge will kicked out. but the goblins dont seem like determined allies who will actually fight the war. they look like aloof creatures who will act only if they are directly affected.
but they could be cooperative and doing things like freezing the DE's accounts could be helpful
