Someone to switch houses

I can't believe I hadn't seen this topic before!
Anyway, I just had this idea.. Maybe, in order to keep the Hogwart's houses from falling down to interhouse struggle, and to unite the houses, Dumbledore (with support from the school's governors, now that Lucius Malfoy's in prison, or at least, no longer a governor) will divide all Slytherins between the other 3 houses?
That way, all those evil Slytherins (no offence, I like the Slytherins on this forum ) can be 'neutralized' by the good and normal students from the other houses? And the houses will unite and all will be well..!

It does seem a little bit too farfetched on second thought, but you never know!

The thing is i think that hogwarts in a lot of ways is still big on tradition and heritage. and as much as many people dislike slytherin without him there would probably be no hogwarts.
I think that slytherin will end up staying as a house on its own, but i think that there will definately have to be changes made

Neville wouldn't switch to Hufflepuff... I think we're just now learning why he was ever sorted into Gryffendor... There's a lot more than meets the eye there.

It would be cool if Loony moved to Gryffendor... I like her. But I really think the Sorting Hat put her there for a reason... does it have to be a student changing houses? What about the heads of houses? Could Snape be fed up with Slytherin?

Hmmm... anyone ever wonder how Lavender and Padma got to be in Gryffendor. Brave, my foot... they panic at the thought of breaking a nail... Is there a house especially for shallow annoying people?

Nor did I... How can it be? I don't think anyone from the trio will move, fat chances. But some may wanna move to the Slytherin... you know, those who are afraid or something... I don't see a need for people of other houses to do it.

Maybe they just asked the hat to be put in gryfindor.. or it could just have been that they weren't particularly suited to any other house.

oy... I'm not saying it doesn't ever happen, but gosh, to hear y'all talk, all you have to do is just ask the sorting hat to put you where you want to be and it does. I think the deal with Harry asking to be put in Gryffindor and actually getting put in Gryffindor was a fairly rare thing... otherwise, why would there need to be a Sorting Hat, if all you have to do is choose the house you want and it puts you there... why not just have sign-up sheets at each of the House tables?

i can't see harry switching at all. he detests anything to do with slytherin house. lets see..the people..the head...the common room..the quidditch team etc!

For those of you who don't know, Nobby and I have a theory that Slytherin, or at least a few Slytherin Students (Malfoy, Crabbe, Goyle and Nott) will be disbanded for security reasons. Thus, those students would have to be put into other houses.

I'm not sure whether any of the students would swap Houses voluntarily - but Dumbledore might come up with some kind of 'house exchange' program in order to encourage the Houses to work together, with one or more students from each House being placed in a different House for the duration of the school year. Maybe Malfoy and/or Luna will go to Gryffindor, Harry and/or Ron to Slytherin, Hermione to Ravenclaw and Neville to Hufflepuff. It would be interesting to see how effectively they work together while 'apart,' and the impact it has on their relationships.
