i doubt she was thinking about that. like in my stories, i had the abnormal people (masters) and the normal people (uh...normal people). and i didn't really think about the breeding thing about it until recently. so, no, i doubt she thought about it.

i think more Squibs in a family would make more sense. because i would think that it'd have to be hereditary. if it weren't, then it'd just be random, and we wouldn't want that.

I don't think Figg and Filch are siblings because I can't see Mrs. Figg as married woman - she's a single cat-feeding woman
So our dear Figgy has different last name than Filch. Well, I don't hink he's married either and it's very unlileky that he'd adopt his wife's name even if he was married That'd be so un-Filch But if he did that he would be Argus Norris

About genetics - now it's more serious: I'm not sure if the genetic laws about dominant and recessive genes appliy to wizarding world. If yes, the gene for wizards would be dominant and the muggle-gene'd be recessive.
So how come that there are muggle-born wizards??? I think it's (a very positive of course) mutation in gene material.
Well, this are all my laical thoughts but my mom is a biologist and we often discussed sth. else about breeding: if Hagrid and madame Maxime had a child, would it be a half-giant (50% chance), a giant (25%) or a ''normal'' wizard (25%). Need to tell why? just ask

I still think there's a slight possibility that Filch and Mrs. Figg could be siblings, since, I think there's a stronger chance that Mrs. Figg is actually a Mrs. (and not a Miss).

As detailed in the "another mrs. figg theory," Perkins is never called "Mr. Perkins" or anything else that would lead us to know for sure that Perkins is a last name (i.e. "Perkins Figg"), the tents that Arthur Weasley borrowed from Perkins smelled just like Mrs. Figg's house, and had the look of Mrs. Figg's decorating, and then, of course, there is the Mrs. Figg thing.
