After Harry..?

Which one is your favorite so far. Are they getting even better as the characters develop over time?

After Harry..?

Postby LadySnape » Monday 7 October 2002 5:06:12pm

What do you think J.K. Rowling will write about after Harry Potter has run its course? I would really love it if she wrote about the Professors and James and Lily and Voldie when they were younger and were attending Hogwarts. That would kick butt! I personally would love to read about Snape's death eater days and his rivalry with James. Not to mention the love that blossoms between Lily and James. :D

Yes, she's said several times that she'll more than likely not write anymore Hogwarts books after Harry Potter--that she'll 'leave them alone'. I think she might write an adult novel, maybe (one that I intend to read...;)) or maybe some other sort of story that she hasn't thought up yet. Then again, she might not write anything else at all.

Personally, I hope Rowling writes a non-HP book. She is an incredible writer with a wicked sense of humour, and I'd like to see what she could do with a non-HP book.

Cheers,

I would definitely put up a vote for a "Marauders Series"...just can't get enough of MWPP! (and Lily, of course!)

I heard that after Harry Potter she's going to stop writing about Hogwarts. There are always other wizarding schools though.

maybe she'll write one about Durmstrang. or Beuaxbatons. i doubt it, though. sometimes, once a writer finishes a fantastic series that has made millions, they don't want to write about anything else...

I don't think J.K. Rowling will write something else about Hogwarts afer the seventh Harry Potter book.
I really whish she would though, it would be great to read something about the Marauders.
She said in an interview that she had to give each of the characters a background, a childhood; she said that she has created a whole childhood for Sirius, she needs it to develop the story but she said that the readers don't need to know about the characters' background.
I wish she wrote a book in which she tells us how she has imagined the lives of the characters before or after the period described in Harry Potter books.
I hope you understand what I mean, it's a bit confusing what I wrote...
