Sirius as Animagus

Postby jarvan49 » Thursday 26 February 2004 11:14:34pm

Ok, This might be more of a question than a rumor. so if it is, please move it!

I thought that nobody (not even dumbledore) knew about sirius, james and peter being animagi. right?

but when sirius accompanies harry to the train station, he is spotted by lucious. how did lucious know?

Well, by that time most likely it had leaked, Sirius told Dumbledore, we know that Snape and the Waesleys also found out at the end of book three, Harry, Ron and Hermione knew too and talk about it in school even though they attempt to use code and stuff.....

could just be random guess work, get Draco Malfoy to say it to Harry and see what the reaction he receives is and that would tell if the guess was right....

or maybe Snape leaked it depending on which theories about Snape you choose to beleive....

or maybe somebody was spying on them...I mean, Rita Skita managed to spy on people, how do we know that there aren't more like Rita Skita or Peter Pettigrew running around in unregistered forms spying on people

That's a good point! I don't think the trio paid much attention to the paintings while discussing Sirius...

A very good point actually. I never thought pictures were anything to worry about but now...

I always thought that wormtail told Voldie and he passed it on to the rest of the DE`s

Well, either Wormtail said it, or Voldemort found out reading his mind...

Anyway.. I think that picture cannot leave Hogwarts, only Phineas and the other Headmistress that was once healer...

I think this is very likely. On the other hand: What about Kreacher? I have to admit that I don't have the books around to look it up properly, but in the end Kreacher worked like a spy. I can't remeber when he went to Narcissa exactly but maybe he did it more than once!

Yes, I do believe that Wormtail told Voldemort, becuase his supportors refer to his as the Animugus Black. It seems likely that it would be Wormtail who would tell. Snape also might have told Voldemort, to gain his trust while working for the Ministry :???:

Uuuuh! That's a good one! But... *looking around puzzeld* Isn't Voldie aware of Snape being a spy? I rember this scene at the cementry at pt 4 where Voldie says something like "This DE has left us forever and he surely will die!" I thought that one being Snape...

i think thet the paintings can leave hogwarts from one paining to enother and maybe one of them told the secret of sirius.

It was probably Snape or Wormtail. I don't doubt Wormtail telling Voldemort all the information about who could be spying, not many people would expect a huge black dog of listen in, unless they knew it could a person

How did Lucius know about Sirius?

Postby Alice I » Monday 8 March 2004 3:27:10am

I believe that Wormtail told Voldemort. This would have happened back when Harry was first born as we know that wormtail was "The Spy" that Sirius and Lupin talked about in the shrieking shack. The fact that Sirius was an animagus was most likely old news for the bad guys.
