prefects (why there are only 3 now?)

i was just wondering... is there a reason why all the houses only have 3 prefects now? if i remember correctly, each house used to have four... i know for ravenclaw it's because lizzy left, but what about the other houses? is my comp just being stupid or what?

It's just a coincidence that at the moment all of the Houses only have 3 Prefects. Most recently, one of the Sytherin Prefects had been inactve for a long while so I had removed her from Prefect Duties. She's back now and I've offered her the Prefect place again but I've not heard back so I'm guessing she's just really busy which is very understandable, and the help whilst she was a prefect is hugely appreciated. So yes, at the moment there is one prefect place free per House

Hmm well if i'm ever needed I will willingly be a gryfindor prefect
At the moment i don't think i am needed... gryfindors not very active.

Thanks Gower. It's always good to have a full compliment of Prefects to spread out the things that need to be done, so if you did want the 4th Gryffindor Prefect place I think you would certainly be a really good Prefect. Technically you'd be going over the maximum number of 3 different places per Moderator but I could increase that to 4.

Hello Paul,

Reading Pinkyprincess' topic about the number of prefect per house, I realized that Ravenclaw could use a new prefect!
Holly and Barry aren't exactly active at the moment, while Ravenclaw is getting just that more and more it seems!

I find I have a hard time keeping things active and lively in the ravenclaw common room all by myself, so that's why I've asked Pinky if she'd want to be the 4th prefect! She was more than happy when I asked her and now that we've asked the other (active) members if they agree with it, she's asked me to contact you.

So yeah, if you don't have any problem with it, we would appreciate it very much if Pinkyprincess could be our new 4th prefect!

I think Pinkyprincess would be a great Prefect...I can see her maybe getting the whole ravenclaw common room singing with her wonderful songs. Very happy to announce therefore that Pinkyprincess is now Ravenclaw's newest Prefect. Many congratulations Pinkyprincess - As prefect you've now also got full Sorting Powers for new members who wish to join Ravenclaw too!
