Fushigi Yuugi is set in present Japan and the characters then enter a seemingly ancient china based book called the Book of The Four Universe (四神天書)
It's good I'm a chinese eh...at least I know the Kanji Mwahahaha

Bittorent is a site where the fans subbed the anime fresh from Japan (unlisted ones). You can d/l those animes for free and if you have super fast connection like broadband, you are able to d/l it super fast (Mwahaha I have one )

I watched Rune Soldiers on TV yesterday - pretty funny. Would never buy it but as a freeby I thought it was fun. Anybody saw it?

Hmmm...me eh? I supposed it was Groove Adventure Rave (I dun really know the date of production for this one but since its manga is still continuing...)
If this isn't the latest one I've seen, then Vandread the second stage should be it

I am just waiting for the anime channel to show more animes (they are re-running those animes so many times ) and it will take them probably next yr to update new animes...

Mint, did you watch the animes in cartoon network in U.S? I thought they censored most of the animes...making it real dumb...and terrible dubbing too

I watched the animes thru AXN which are in jap audio and english subtitles

I watched Cartoon Network stuff - but u r right they did cut everything, and I actually didn't mind it cause hack it was free!!! ^_____^

Right now Im watching "Anime on Demand" Channel. Its really cool, u select anime u want to play and then u can pause or fast forward it - like on DVD . And its uncut but most of it is dubbed. BUt Im one of the rare people who enjoy watching dubbed anime. I want to pay attention to the art, not the subtitles.

U.S has a bigger market compared to my country that has only a population of 4 mil which not all watches anime... nobody would buy the license fee for broadcasting anime

Mint have you seen Alien 9 before? I watched it this morning and I find it quite interesting...but I have no idea what is the anime trying to get at...maybe it is one of those 'strange anime'...
It is short though, it lasted 2 hours...and left me thinking...WHAT! THAT'S ALL!?!?!

Seriously, Alien 9 is quite disturbing...especially at the end...and it left off with a strange scene...
The story goes,
1. Girl, 12, selected to be a part of an alien control in elementary school (huh? why not the army?)
2. Girl meets 2 other girls whom appears to have their own problems (ok...this is kinda evangelion)
3. Girl is scared of alien and she has to partner with an alien (oooh...scary)
4. Girl irritates the 2 girls (can't help it if she keeps crying)
5. 2 girls decide to help girl (kinda confusing eh...maybe I should name them )
Girl scared of alien- Yuri
Girl who hates Yuri - Kumi
Girl who excels in everything - Kasumi
6. Kasumi gets captured by a mental-attacking alien (I have seen this somewhere...oh that's right...Neon Genesis Evangelion)
7. Kumi and Yuri try to save Kasumi however the alien made use of Kasumi's loneliness to attack them (mental attack...)
8. Kumi manages to overcome the attack and helps Yuri as well (See what I mean...that girl keeps crying and crying...she is so useless...hmmm but is that so?)
9. The alien reguritates out Kasumi (Yes, you get that slimy sound effect...EwwwK)[i]
10. Kasumi (still under mind control) attacks Kumi and injures Kumi's alien partner. She then proceeds to strangle Kumi who is close to being unconscious from the alien mind blast.
11. Kumi's alien partner wants to kill Kasumi in order to save her but Kumi refuses.
12. Yuri enters the scene and begs Kasumi to stop, and she succeeds. [i](so she isn't so useless after all)

The finally, I thought Alien 9 was over then...it appears that the aliens were arranged to appear in the school due to someone's doing...Kasumi being one of the best alien control member had even failed...then there is a conversation between the teacher and the principal...saying that if Kumi falls too...then they will have to depend on Yuri *shakes head*

Then, the ending song starts to play...and a few scenes...and then I saw Kumi's alien partner trying its very best to walk towards something...an injured Kumi in the library... so is that the end...I dun think so

Hmmm, I realised something...this seems to be my longest post other than my story of course haha

I just picked up this really funny manga and anime.. It's kinda old but really funny..The drawing is kinda nice too.

It's called Kodocha(Child's Toys) Really funny.. It's a shojo

Reading the manga is really fun, but watching the anime makes my stomach hurts from laughing..

But I have heard about it! I just never saw it....But u know what, if they were showing it on TV I would prob. see it out of curiousity.

Huffleduck - I loooove Sana! Long time ago I used to love that anime. I haven't seen all the episodes but I saw the beggining of the first season,...1 episode from the second season, and OVA.

I never read manga - because how can u read it and not hear her voice and see her spin and .....and those random songs!!!

Im waiting for it to be released officially - im definitely getting the first DVD!!

Hehe.. the anime is kinda off because of the subbing... So most of the funny statements are ruined..

they made a kodocha tv show? did they subtitle any of it in english? am i being totally stupid and ignoring something you already said?
