Look at all the blockbusters that are 3-4 hours long with intermissions...My Fair Lady, Titanic, Sound of Music, Its a Mad Mad Mad Mad World...they all were hits and were extremely long. It is possible they could have one huge movie you know, and I would like it better...however the evil marketers would earn more money with two movies...twice as much admission, twice as many concessions sold, twice as many videos and DVDs, twice as much HP themed merchandise, twice as many soundtracks...however the cast and crew would have to be paid twice also... :D

Well...you also have to keep in mind there will be a different cast...and the fact that a major (not all...) part of the fan base is...under 13....Attention spans only run so long, eh?

under 13? I'm not so sure about that...because by the time GoF will hit the screen...let's say 2006...I will be 23...in fact most of the fans will be around 15 and over...

I'm not so sure whether countries outside US/UK have the intermission deal because I have watched Titanic without intermission

Yeah i saw titanic without an intermission, along with both LoTR which are the same length.

I've recently read that it hasn'tbeen confirmed either way as to whether or not they're making a 4 hour movie, a 2 and 1/2 hr movie, or two 2hour movies.

But either way i dont think that JK would let them make the film if it didnt really do the book justice.
