Lily's eyes.

Which one is your favorite so far. Are they getting even better as the characters develop over time?

does the kid who plays hp in the movies even have green eyes? i thought they were brown... :-?

it's blue in the movies.

I still can't understand what's the importance of Harry's and Lilly's green eyes. We still don't hace a clue about the relation. Maybe in the future we will learn more about their importance.

All I know is that Harry is in Gryffindor and has green eyes, Lilly was in Gryffindor and had green eyes... Voldemort has red eyes and was in Slytherin...
Plus... Harry was told that he would suit in Slytherin...

Hmm! I don't know what this might mean!!! But I know it is an important fact to have in mind when reading the last book... That's where the mistery will be solved (I guess!)

There is nothing whatsoever to be explained... but we all think there is something behind the colour of the eyes... Because green is always conected with Slythering and with the bad guys, and we know Lilly was in Gryffindor (said in an interview somewhere in the past)... which makes a contradiction...

i dont think lily's or harry's eyes will be of any importance. otherwise JK would have insisted that Daniel Radcliffe wore contacts to make his eyes green in the films!

highsorcerer wrote:The interesting thing is that the clash in colors show generally showed a theme - green being evil (AK curse, Sltyherin colors), and red standing for good (Gryffindor house, spells to stun rather than kill).

But the concept is reversed when it comes to eyes. Voldemort has red eyes, Lily and Harry have green eyes. Green eyes are fairly rare; I'm not sure red eyes exist.

THis is similar to Star Wars - the strom trooper gun shoot red and the sith lightsabres are red, and the ggodies guns are blue/green. This is the reverse for the space ships.

probably of no relevance as this story is fiction, but according to my friend there are technically only two colours of eyes - brown & blue. All other colours are variations on these two. Green is a variant of blue, and hazel is a variant of brown.

it comes down to genetics i guess. green eyes are a rare eye colour, a rare variation of the blue.

ahhh, there's not really a big mystery surrounding this...

I think, instead of the color so much, we're supposed to draw the fact that there are major similarities between Lily's eyes and Harry's eyes... So, like, in the movie, Harry's eyes can be blue, as long as Lily's eyes are blue... not having so much to do with the color, as long as they're similar.
