The interesting thing is that the clash in colors show generally showed a theme - green being evil (AK curse, Sltyherin colors), and red standing for good (Gryffindor house, spells to stun rather than kill).

But the concept is reversed when it comes to eyes. Voldemort has red eyes, Lily and Harry have green eyes. Green eyes are fairly rare; I'm not sure red eyes exist.

I'm rather interested, because I have green eyes myself.

Is the flurry around the color of the eyes with Lily/Harry and Tom Riddle (didn't another post have him in the green eye group?) supposed to be an indication of a possible family link between Lily/Harry and Voldemort? Or a possible link to which house Lily might be from? (i.e. Slytherin.)

So her eyes' colour isn't related to the house she was in (neither Harry's eyes' colour)

Personally, i have no idea what the eye colors mean. I thought it was something very important until a short while ago when i noticed that in the movies, Harry's eyes arent green. I know the actor Daniel didnt want to wear them, but you would think that if they were really important, JKR would force him to. If it later becomes an important part in the books, his eyes cant just suddenly change to green.

it could be a small theme that is quite nonessential to the story plot so jkr decided that it could be left out...i mean peeves wuz left out rite?

I agree about the movie, though they have managed to get impotant themes across by saying thigs outright, instead of the intricate plots that JKR forms in the book

I think that there are too many holes in the movie to allow me to trust them. I mean... James's position in Quidditch... Seamus being the one that makes everything bad... Hermine's teeth (ok... that's not important...) and in the third movie they'll not be using they're schoold robes...

You might be correct... But i think that I've seen an report and they showed some scenes. McGonagall was tlking with Harry and Hermione and they were with "Muggle"-clothes... I guess they would dress their robes all the time, even at breaks and Hogsmead and so!...

But I doubt that they would make such a serious change to the movies. (or that JKR would let them)

So I assumed that they were on their break at ....I forgot what that village was called....Hogsmade? Cause I don't think it was mentioned in the books that they wore robes to it. Robes were their school uniform afterall....
