Hooray for Ravenclaw!! We're catching up other houses in points yet...sure have made a comeback since only having two active members!! :D

We will certainly consider your suggestion, Gwared, of course, if we do it, it'll take longer for us to get the quiz out, which, as long as that isn't a problem for the members here, is a possibility.

BIG KUDOS to gecko for really helping us busy prefects in getting everything together for the quizzes...with Holly at Uni, Baz in the middle of moving, and me working full-time, it's been tough, and gecko has been a God-send...THANK YOU!! Also, cheers to all Ravenclaws, particularly those hard-working ones who set about making sure all our answers for Hufflepuff's quiz were correct...you guys/gals ROCK!! :D

I'm SO proud of Ravenclaw...we've come such a far way from where we were when I first joined in June 2003 in terms of membership, activity, and fun! :) Time to go to the Common Room and work on a really hard quiz for the other houses! ;) Go on...get in there, Ravenclaws  and let's MAKE that quiz!

Monday:Herbology, (page 171 UK GoF chapter 13)
Tuesday:History of Magic (page 304 UK GoF chapter 20)
Thrusday:Transfiguration (page 336 UK GoF chapter 24)
Friday: History of Magic (page 494 UK GoF chapter 29)

On Question 1, Gryffindor had all four lessons (and also gave details of lessons after the morning break) but only mentioned a page number for the first question. Taking into consideration the detail provided, I've awarded Gryffindor one point.

Ah see that was my fault, I read the question to be asking for lessons before both break and lunch so the detail was by accident rather than cleverness  .

Hmm, well good job everyone as technically everyone has done well...the gap between 1st and 4th has narrowed which is what we want? Also I was wondering if we should set a cap...say first to 100 points gets the cup and then we start again??

Have fun Ravenclaw...I'm looking forward to the quiz in December (j/k   ).

December? Next week you mean :P !

Mmm. I like the idea of a cap, but I'd go for 150. Because Slytherin has 81 already!

Or instead of a total cap we could have a lead cap, when someone gets a certain distance in front we could start again?

I think i might be easier if it's the first to reach a certain number at the moment because of the difference in everyone's scores.

Hmmm a house cup sounds nice, why not make it the end of the yr event?
maybe this time round, the winning house get to retain the 1st position let's say by 10 pts in the lead for the next yr and a title to its house in the common room area...something flashy with the HOUSE OF THE YEAR/ HOUSE CUP wordings...it sounds cool huh...isn't it?

*looks at Slytherin's points*
hmmm...hey guys if u want to get the house cup, we have a lot of catching up to do...Bring the next quiz on Ravenclaw :-)

:-? :-?

So Ravenclaw you guys should take at least 3months to make up the quiz..
This will give everybody a break and times to reorganize the team and brain. :P

I like the cup idea, christmas sounds a good limit but I don't think the winners should have points at the beginning of next year ...

A House of the Year Cup sounds a great idea. I'll try to organise something along those lines. We can make it a yearly event to look forward to around Christmas. :)

Soooo...with thoughts of honour for your House and the House Cup in mind, it's time to get thinking with Ravenclaws's quiz. Here are Ravenclaw's finely crafted questions to puzzle your mind!...

1) Whose head is said to have resembled a dairy-product?

2) What kind of animals are there at the top of columns at the entrance to Hogwarts?

3) How many muggles was Sirius claimed to have killed with a single curse?

4) What time is breakfast served?

5) In which year was the Behaviour Code of Werewolves written?

As usual, please discuss and post your answers in your House Common Room, and not in this thread otherwise the other Houses will see them. :)

There is a hidden bonus question amongst the 5 which will be worth more points than the others. :-) Apart from the bonus question, each correct answer from your House is worth 2 points, but for each question that your House gets incorrect (or fails to answer), Ravenclaw will be awarded the points which are available for that question.

As in the previous quiz, please provide page numbers (with versions, and chapter locations with your answers, for example page [number] chapter [number], UK version, or page [number], chaper [number] USA version) . Only answers with this information will score full points. Points may be awarded to Ravenclaw if you miss out this information. :-)

Good luck everyone and have fun!
