sorry charis about the cookies...its a shame that they were ruined...but at least my story kept your attached...tee hee...this weekend I am going to write more...I have the plot all figure out, it is just a matter of writing the details and dialogue down into a story!

Wow, thank you guys...I really don't know what to say other than thanks!!! I really appreciate your feedback and I really hope you keep on coming back to read some more of my story. Sorry for the delay, but I just finished my first month of my senior year and I was getting situated and stuff and now that i am done with all my university apps I should have more time to write, which of course I am really excited about!!! So here is more story!!!! I wish zledm007 would come back so he could read this and show it to his awesome mom!!!! (hee hee hee)

The morning came none too soon as Harry awoke with his head against the ancient wooden window sill. He rubbed the indentations on his forehead where the wooden had pressed into his flesh. Harry crossed the bedroom to face his vanity mirror and gazed at his reflection. Still rubbing, he traced his finger where his lightning bolt scar had once graced his forehead. Since the down fall of Voldemort, his scar had disappeared along with the pain and connections with Voldemort. He was no longer a marked man with a scar and a mission, branded to save the world. His worries were over, he was going to be married to a beautiful girl, and his best friends were happy together. Yet, as Harry moved his index finger up and down the smooth unmarked skin, his gut sunk lower in his body. Was he really happy???? Was he really free???? Was his mission over???? The doubts rang through his mind, when finally the brooding man was interrupted by the sharp tapping at the window.
A large tawny owl sat at the sill with a large cream colored envelope tied to its talon. Harry made one more gaze at the mirror, not quite sure what he was looking for then groggily made his way to the impatient owl. Wondering who could ever be writing him, he took the letter from the owl and looked in amazement at the address:
Mr. Harry Potter
The Upper Left Window Sill
Third Bedroom from the Right
1213 Phoenix Lane
Godric Hollow
Harry’s careful fingers turned over the letter and with a smile he recognized the all too familiar crest embossed on the backside.

Members of the Ministry are working hard at the moment to recover our dear professor, but it is probably in everyone’s best interest to find a replacement for the coming school year. Since you, Mr. Potter, were the best Defense against the Dark Arts pupil Hogwarts has ever seen (and were also a key part of saving the world from the darkest wizard ever known to mankind) we have decided to ask you to take the Defense against the Dark Arts post in lieu of Professor Swift. You must arrive at Hogwarts for training in the first week of August, and move into your quarters at school at least by September 1st (the first day of the fall term). If you decide to accept the post, please send your owl promptly.
