Which one is your favorite so far. Are they getting even better as the characters develop over time?

I understand what u mean
what if (let's say Harry great-grandpa marries a female from the Blacks), shouldn't the Black family tree includes a Potter?
The family tree should trace back to at least 10 generations or more and not a single Potter appeared on the Black family tree...(Harry should be able to spot a Potter among the names or at least Sirius would have told him)

The tree should indeed include a Potter in your case, but it remains a particular case.
It's posible that someone for instance from James Potter's family married a Black, but that doesn't mean James is realted to them by blood.
I guess it's like that.

u are right, not all Potters will be related to Black by blood...
i'm just wondering abt Potters being a pure wizarding family since none of them married a Black...

Well the Black are not the only pure-blood family, and it's not the most commendable family when you look at some of them.
For instance the Weasley are pure-blood family ifI'm correct, but none of them are related to the Black or even the Potter.

I don't have my copy of OotP here, but I do believe that Sirius states that one of the Weasley parents (I can't remember which one) is a cousin. I'll look it up when I get home.

Molly Weasley is Sirius' cousin and Arthur is Sirius' second cousin once removed or something like that.

How could the Potters survive as a pure blood family if they don't marry another pure blood family be it the Weasleys, Malfoys, Blacks?

Abt Harry being Gryffindor descendant (a hypothesis), Harry's either parents must be a pure blood since Lily was a muggle born that leaves us with James being the descendant...(i might be wrong with the hypothesis...but i'm sure almost everyone thinks of the Potters as a pure blood family)
Well, lets hope JK can give us an answer for that...

I'm not sure I'm correct but there are certainly many other pure-blood families other than the Weasley, malfoys or Black.
I mean, of course JKR doesn't give us all names, it would be quite boring and useless.
For instance, Grabe and Goyle's families must be pure blood.
