Here we go everyone....
Firstly, the new rules....hee hee....
Inspired by a brilliant idea from Lizzy, there are new rules which come into play from this quiz onwards. Basically the rules are to add an additional degree of fairness and to help ensure that answers given are from your own genuine knowledge of Harry Potter and the books. Seeing as is easy for people to simply use a search engine to search online for answers for the quizzes, Lizzy's idea was that it would be a lot more interesting, substantial, and fair if, for every Harry Potter question asked, people had to provide a book title and a page number, for example Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets page 384 (UK version). This seems a great idea to me as finding something online at a website simply takes a bit of understanding in how to use a search engine, and doesn't really show that someone knows the books at all or found the answer in the books, so this way really shows much more true knowledge of the Harry Potter books themselves.
This way will be much fairer to all Houses, including the House which goes to all the effort to find difficult questions. Therefore when providing your answers, you'll need to not only give the correct answers, but a page number (or if maybe even multiple page numbers if the answer takes more than one factor into consideration) where the answers can be found.
As always, please
do not post your answers in this thread but discuss and post your answers in the privacy of your House Commob Rooms
And now....presenting Hufflepuff's carefull crafted questions....
1) In Harry's 4th year, what was his course schedule from Monday-Friday except Wednesday, before the break and lunch?
2) What happened to Harry on the 12th of sep 1991
3)which event took place in 1289 ?
4)what medical ailment have Ron, Harry and Cedric all had in common?
There will be 2 points per question awarded for three of the questions, but one of the four questions is a hidden bonus question which is actually worth 4 points. If your House answers a question incorrectly (or doesn't answer at all), the value of that question will go to Hufflepuff who set the quiz.
Just as another reminder (sorry to be repetitive but I guess it's best to be safe), please discuss and post answers in your House Common Room rather than in this thread to ensure that other Houses don't see your answers.
It's a bit of an extra challenge with the new rules, but I hope you feel they're fair and a really good idea.
Good luck and have fun figuring out the answers!
