Yay, all this talk of anime makes me happy  I just got back from a camping trip, and instead of normal books to read on the beach I brought some manga (love hina, chobits & marmalade boy) and they made fun of me  oh well though, not everyone is capable of understanding how great anime is, hehe. Have any of you watched Neon Genisis Evangelion? It's not really geared for girls, but I'm a girl and I like it. I think that's because the main character is so lovable :)

Neon Genesis Evangelion...oh that is a great anime but it is too deep to understand...and my brain hurts after watching it

The 3rd pilot is cute. I forgot her name but she pilots Prototype-02.

I'm usually only into fantasy and comedy anime too, but for some reason Eva just really appeals to me. I think maybe it's because I can relate to the main character :???: I thikn that fantasy anime is great though because it has so much great art.

I think its a good series because of the characters personaltities. They arent just one dimensional anime characters wanting s*x or to blow things up or being book worms. I'm also sure that most of the male audience likes it for the bitchin' Evas. (sorry, I couldn't help myself, I was watching 80's movies this morning and that word has teporarily slipped into my vocabulary...  )

Did anyone finish the entire series of Fushigi Yuugi (with all the OVAs)?
I've seen part of it but I didn't see the last episode...
Fushigi Yuugi is a really nice anime but sad at the same time...i was crying when the characters die one after another...
The OVA tells the continuing story (in the reality world not the book world), u will know what i meant if u've watched Fushigi Yuugi

Abenobashi is an old anime and it's just like excel Saga, you should be able to get it through Fansubs.
Angel Santuary... :-? I agree with Mint, it's too much for me.
Fushigi Yuugi there are 53episodes and 3 OVA i think. Yeah each of them died one after another. I never finished the series though cuz i lost interest in it.

PS: Really Anime channel on cable? Cuz the only channel i know is Tonami and Adult Swim that have anime. Most of the anime i got is from fansubs. i think i heard of AoD before but not sure.

I read about the anime channel like a year ago, like it was just a mention that someone was thinking of doing it, now they actually have it and I am so jealous of anyone who gets it!

Last night I watched the Slayers movie, and I was very disapointed. I thought it was going to be interesting, but it was just like an extended TV episode. And Their spells were really lame. Also, is this a childrens anime? It seems like it except the whole time Lena and Naga are talking about how "small breasted" Lena is and stuff like that.
