omg... just looking @ all of u's, all this time i've been guessing to how old each of u's were........ so wrong~ so very wrong~

18 wouldn't get you in to an American bar, but I agree beer isn't that great. I'm 22 and only read my first HP book this March. Now I'm an avid fan.

Predjudice against the young is often used by weaker people to try and exert some control and force in their lives. Teachers are often one of the worst offenders in this respect.

JK does show a lot of world issues in her books and I believe that they are an excellent read for people of ALL ages for these reasons. Personally I also believe the first two books were seperate stories but the 3rd-5th are series linked and getting more mature in their writing style. Prehaps it reflects the aging characters?

though i have to admit... i've had wonderful teachers all my life, especially my yr 12 english teacher... absolutely inspiring.

I'm 17, and when I first joined because my friend zledm007 said I should, I thought "Boy, another HP site where I am the oldest one there..." and low and behold, I am not! I am average, and wow this is cool. I am so glad to have found a group of HP fans who know that you don't have to be a little kid to enjoy the story!

I started reading them when I was twelve, so pretty much when they were released in the US...I bought the first one at a Sam's Club warehouse after my mom said I could buy a book to take to summer camp with me...and I picked this funny one with a boy ridding a broom on the cover...and I've been hooked ever since...actually turing my school libarians on to the series by lending Mrs. H my books that summer...whoo memories....
