hmmm....lets see, what if Harry never ever got his letter for hogwarts way back at age 11? I doubt this would ever happen, but hey??? What if...how would the wizarding world be effected by Harry's omision from the school? Share you thoughts if this has ever entered your mind...

hey that would imply that the dursleys were able to stop hagrid from seeing harry, powerful !! any way, if they did, some weird things would happen in privet drive, cos' harry's powers would grow, and he wouldn't be able to control them i suppose ... he'd maybe call out to some snakes to come and visit the dursley's without knowing it, that could be fun ...

i was just thinking, I mean, with out Harry do you think Lord Voldemort would have gained power again sooner??? I do you think he'd get the P. Stone or would Quirrell be twarted by lets say Neville or something or would he had ever gotten the stone???? Would Sirius of gotten kissed by the dementors in PoA???

If Harry never went to Hogwarts he would be protected from Voldemort. However the wizarding world would not be. So if Harry had never went to school there wouldn't be that wizarding world and Harry wouldn't be able to protect himself either. Voldemort would overtake the muggle world too.

For one, "Harry Potter and the Flowerpot on the Corner of Privet Drive" isn't as compelling a title as the current ones, that's for sure.

And, definitely, the wizarding world would have been greatly altered were Harry to not enter it. Though we haven't seen his full power or the eventual role he's to play in all of this, Harry undoubtedly has his place in the wizarding world, and if that space were to remain unoccupied, the entire wizarding world would suffer as a result.

well I think this section is more about trying to imagine what would happen rather than if would it be more interesting than the original (I think we would be pretty good if we could imagine a better story ...)
but anyway, if he didn't go to hogwart's, I believe it could have been more of a single hero story, because he would end up fighting VD on his own ... could he do that ?

i don't think he could do it on his own. so far in the books he's always had someone there helping him in some way or another. but that raises up another question, would he have found some other people to help him instead of ron and hermione? i think he would've because taking on voldy alone, especially w/out hogwarts training would be nearly if not completely impossible. who they would've been, i don't know. perhaps someone we have met in the harry potter series as it is. DD, the weasley's. the dursley's perhaps, or maybe someone we haven't seen, someone new completely. if they were to be new characters, what kind of people would they be? or would they be people at all? a few more things to ponder..

he would have learned "what" he is sooner or later i think, and probably would have met a magician, who would have trained him, since the name harry potter is not unknown in the wizarding world ... so then he could have ended up trained by a bad wizard (ooooh) or maybe even sirius who would have found him there and would have hidden himself as snufles with him maybe ????

I think the truth would have been let slip. Harry would have discovered that he was a wizard and then would have left the Dursley's to see how he could become a wizard

If he didn't go to Hogwarts he would be an easy target for Voldimort and the Death Eaters, and Ginny would have died in the second, and lots of bad things would happen
