this topic has been moved to the 5th book section, I am sorry for launching this thread in the wrong place ... (thx to gwared for warning people before I was able to sort this out)

OOH! I so agree! I was always thinking that anythingss possible in the magical world, and wouldn't it be something if everything that the Quibbler published actually was true! I mean there is so much in the muggle world we all thought was false but were proven true. Perhaps there are things that can help the order fight voldemort...Luna did mention Crumple Horned Snortbacks or whatever they were a lot...what if they were some animal with super powers..dum dum dum

But here is my thought, and I have said it before in another thread, but what if The Quibbler become kinda the newpaper of choice for those who want to read the truth, almost like a anti-voldemort propaganda paper???? In WWII propaganda was a key tool for both the allies and the nazis, whether we'd like to say it or not Goebbels was a genius to be able to think up all of the pro-Hitler propaganda out there. Well with the Daily Prophet going to the hogs, I think the Quibbler will take a front role in spreading the news of the underground resistance of Voldemort...thus telling the truth???

I think that everyone thought that the Quibbler was rubbish, then even when the Harry Potter article was put in there a lot of people got uneasy, but still didnt believe it. Now that this is all out in the open though, people can look back a be like "Hey, The Quibbler was right about that, maybe there's more facts in this paper than we thought." The Quibbler definitly has more credibility now. And maybe now that there will be more interest in what it has to say, there will also be more interest into things like crumple horned snortbacks and nargles (is that what the things in the mistletoe were called? :???: ) and that will lead to people finding out that some of these creatures are actually real. And Meg, I really like your idea about the anti-voldemort propeganda and such  !

All you're saying was true before the end of book 5 : indeed, there was a propaganda to say that VD wasn't alive in the official and usual newspapers.
So in this way, we can say the Quibbler has been an anti-propaganda against the MoM, with Harry's article.
But now everybody knows VD is back, and I don't think they'll need a newspaper such as the Quibbler to say the truth, all newspapers are going to say that it's true, VD is back and everyone must fight him.

yes, everyone will be printing stiries about Voldemort's return, but the fifference between them and the Quibbler is that the quibbler was publishing stories about it first.

The "Sirius Black as Lead Singer" or "Guita-hero" or whatever does show that everything in the Quibbler should not be taken at face value. Mind, that is true of all newspapers, look at the Daily Prophet about Voldie

I had mentioned the sirius black incident in my post, and wasn't really meaning that everything is true (like reading the runes upside down ... that would be so useless that it doesn't desrve to be true) but most of people thought that Gallileus was a madman saying that the earth goes around the sun, and not the opposite so ...

That was Galileo. But I believe the sole reason for the Quibbler was as an outlet for Harry's true story.

I think that there are some true stories in the Quibbler, but majority of them are junk. So you have to be carefull to what you believe.

....

From the other hand, the "reporters" for the magazine are not really payed r they?

You mean like The National Enquirer and papers like that? They are like 95% junk, but every once in a while there is a true story in there.

I don't think Britain has papers like that. Best we have is the Daily Sport and that's just a trashy tabloid but it prints veritable fact.

Quibbler is more like a tabloid like what Gwared said...
But it is always enjoyable to read them

Well, just to add something on Sirius' article.
all the quibbler is saying is that Sirius must be innocent, but with a weird explanation.
If we're honest, we can say than one more time the quibbler was saying the true, in a special way we must amit, but still the truth.
