Couples...

Ron and Hermoine? Of course.

Harry and Cho? Nope. Cedric's memory was and is too big a block between them. Besides, Harry is over her. He didn't care that she was dating somebody else (unlike GoF, where he was quite jealous of Cedric when he was going with her). She's a part of his past.

cho was a good lesson for harry...not to go on looks...but maybe JK foreshadows harry and hermione a bit. like in SS, she tells him he is a great wizard and be careful, which could be nothing, but it seems to be a litle moment. and doesnt she kiss him at the end of one of the books? on the cheek i mean

The whole Ron/Hermione relationship is brought out as uncomfortable within the books and films, they shirk from scenes that involve closeness. This is the way you act around somebody you like, because you don't want to show that you like them but, realistically you make it even more obvious that you like them.

Harry and Hermione don't shirk from scenes involving hugs etc, this emphasises the close friendships and the lack of romantic interest.

Exactly Gwared. The best example of this is fromthe second film, the infamous hugging Harry but not Ron scene.

Exactly! This scene was not in the book and JK doesn't introduce the element of uncomfortableness between Ron and Hermione until GoF in the books...so why was it there? In an interview she said there was a reason for introducing the concept earlier than in the books, but what?

Hopefully Hermione and Ron will be a couple one day, but first, Ron has to work himself out of her shadow (and out of Harry's, too), for example by becoming an outstanding Quidditch Keeper ... !!

OK...

Maybe I'm a little demented here...

How is JK going to keep these guys innocent and just thinking about a "first kiss" kind of thing as they get older? 17 year olds have one thing on their mind... and it's not their potions class if you know what I mean.

Maybe there will be a new class - DADP (Defence Against the Dark Parts)

How? Easy! Make their life unbearable with Voldie returning with reinforcements. (in the point where your life is in grave danger - there are limited number of things that you are gonna be thinking about)

Actually, during times of crises these things become even more of an issue...that's way the biggest baby booms in recent history (i.e. since when there's been a census), during wartime.

Hmm.... :-?
