If I'm not mistaken, one of the things we were supposed to find out from this book is a mystery behind Lily's green eyes.

Did I miss it? Cause I don't remember it being mentioned anywhere. :???:

I expected something really really cool - and they just didn't say anything about it!

Was it mentioned that it's in the 5th book? Because if it is, I missed it too. -.-;; I think it's probably not in the 5th book... Rowling just said that that we'll find out in future books (after Book 4) but didn't say when. She said it was integral to the plot, so perhaps the 7th book? I get the feeling that she'll only reveal the mystery in the 7th book in any case...

I was really excited to find out about her eyes in this book, but then we didnt learn anything about them

So, oh well, I guess I'll have to wait until the 6th or 7th book! Hopefully we'll find out in the 6th book, because I'm way to impatient to wait until the last book!

um, not only did i miss the explanation(due to the fact that it wasnt there), but i guess i missed something that said that there was gonna be an explanation. where did everyone seem to hear this? was it an interview? I'm just wondering.

I believe Lilly will be explained more in the forthcoming book. And no, her/Harry's/Tom's eye simularities were not explained.

Lily is Harry's mother.

What is the issue with Lily's eyes ?

Rowling once said in an interview that the fact that Harry has his mother's eyes was a very significant fact in the series.

The eye's, the eyes....I've read somewhere that she's given us enough clues now that we could work out what is going to happen. In her perusal of fan-sites she's said nobody has yet but several people have got close.

There was like a list of things that were suppose to be talked about in book5.

And I remember that Lillys eyes were part of book5. Perhaps due to people copying and pasting it all the time - the info got mixed up...

Maybe you don't know...
One of the possible titles (I dare say the almost certain one) of the sixth book is "Harry Potter and the Green Torch" or the green flame torch or something like that...
They say it's a torch which you can use to defeat evil...
And they say that the colour of the torch is connected with the colour of Harry (and so even Lily's) eyes...
