I mean, before the sorting, Harry pretty much told Draco that he planed on hanging around with Ron and pretty much dismissed all possibilities of hanging around with Draco from that moment on. So, if Harry were to be sorted into Slytherin, he would possibly still be friends with Ron, though not as close. As I'm imagining that inter-house friendships are a it more difficult to pull off!
On the other hand, environment does do a lot in determining who your friends are. Similarly, were Harry to be spending all his time withthe Slytherins, then a lot of that would probably rub off on him, causing him to dismiss any thoughts of being friendly with Ron.
I guess it could have gone either way.

May be he would become a great good wizard in SLytherin.... Im sure that he would find some friends there. Or pehaps he would rely less on his friends and spend more time on perfecting his skills...
In Gryffindor - he spends a lot of his time having fun and doing other teenage activities......but in SLytherin, with being in a tense and competative environment, he would spend more of his time learning stuff.
He would be like a boy that would not talk too much but be extremely powerfull.
Also, I doubt that he would be good friends with Hermone and Ron - because!! - He would only hear the Slythering point of view. he would miss all of the good things they were doing - and see their weekness (which Im sure slytherins talk about nonstop).
~Mint, who misses her avatar very much.
