I don't think the good characters would resort to killing people but then again I was suprised Harry used the unforgivable curse in this book (he does have a temper doesn't he). Most of the violent acts and destruction are caused by evil characters.
The Nevile's wand thing sorts itself out rather well then Blaise .

Love, yes, Voldermort will be loved to death by Harry . The only locked room of the department of mysteries contained love. It'll certainly be an interesting end however it's done.
Ron got his own wand after book two and that didn't really help him that much so...maybe it'll improve his confidence and that'll be enough.

Ah, I hadn't thought of Neville's parents and Lockhart...good points! Yes, I'd say being tortured into madness and having no memory of anything would certainly qualify as fates worse than death. Lockhart, to our knowledge, doesn't have kids, but the Longbottoms do...poor Neville!
Hmmmm, the Love Chamber. Wonder what damage Harry could do to Voldemort there...the possibilities are endless! As much as I want to see Voldemort come to a sticky end, I really want to see Bellatrix get it, big time from NEVILLE!

What exactly are you suggesting about Voldermort's sticky end from Harry in the love chamber? *said with completely straight face*

On topic: I don't think Harry'll die as JK has hinted at the possibility of further books (or rather not said never after 7), and what would the title be? Also the prophecy implies one will live and she'd never let Voldermort survive. I though DD was going to die as I heard that WB wouldn't miss the killed character and as the actor who played DD died I put 2 + 2 and got 7!
We really have a bunch of Cho-hating, Neville-loving peeps here don't we.
