Show-off. Damien spat on the ground as he fire-man carried Ouki. Curses were zooming and flying by him like a fireworks show, a few glancing off of him here and there. He kept going though. Even Inu was readily retreating, which meant the situation was worse than they'd ever experience. After all, two of their fighters was incapacitated, another was missing, and two of them had to cover the incapacitated fighters. Very bad..
Thundering on as fast as he could, Damien tried desperately to outrun the Aurors as Yuta fought them. He didn't care where, all he knew was that he had to get out of there. With Neko's slowed heartrate, she'd be able to survive for another several hours, even though she had lost a lot of blood. The only way that she would survive, though, would be if they made it out without being captured.
He fell face forward to the mud as a Stupefy curse hit him squarely across the back. Tumbling to the ground, he accidentally let go of Ouki as she rolled a few feet from him. He could hear an Auror yell out a cry of triumph. Spitting up blood, Damien turned around onto his back and yelled the killing curse, and watched with satisfaction as the auror fell to the ground.
Wobbling as he got up, he started making his way to Ouki as another Stupefy hit him in the back, knocking him downwards onto Ouki. Damien shuddered as blood began to seep from his back into his shirt, and the shock of his ribcage being rattled stopped his breathing. for a few seconds.
Recovering, pulled Ouki's arm around his neck as he tried to lift her up, only to be shot in the same spot by another Stupefy. Falling with a heavy splash into the mud, Damien's vision blurred and darkened. blood was now pouring freely from his back, and his breathing was almost completely stopped. His muscles felt like led, and his bones felt as heavy as steel.
His feet slipped as he desperately tried to stand again. His back ached with pain as he fell back to the ground. Coughing up blood, he could see his vision darken completely. Desperately, Damien tried to stand again. He made it to his knees before falling back down. His blood was drenching him, and his breathing was nearly as slow as Neko's, and his muscles had failed him completely.
He had one last chance. Reaching into his potions jacket, he pulled out a vial. It had a few drops of the stuff he had used to fight Inu. He had saved the vial from a previous encounter with a werewolf. His hands shaking, Damien tried to reach the vial up to his mouth. His hands were shaking so bad. They were white as snow from lack of blood. He tried to bring the vial to his lips, but couldn't do so. Damien couldn't hold his hands still enough.
Then his hands felt something odd. Something soft was holding them steady. As he poured the few drops down his throat, Damien's vision began to clear, and he saw a hand. He looked at Ouki, and saw that she was helping him. She gave him the potion.
As his strength began to somewhat come back, Damien lifted Ouki. As he was standing, another Auror fired a Stupefy at him. But before it could hit him, Damien dissapparated. He was going through the swirling colors and sounds around him, desperately trying to stay conscious enough to concentrate on where he wanted to go. Damien could feel his focus blurring, his muscles relaxing. He was going to lose control and splinch them both.
"I WON'T MESS UP!!!" He yelled as he landed. The last bit of determination had gotten him where he had needed to go. Damien slowly looked around at his tree house. It looked the same as it had when he'd left it. Looking down, he saw that Ouki was unconscious again. Then he felt the effects of his potion wear off, and he fell to the floor unconscious.
