Good thing the others were outside, where they couldn't hear her yelling. Damien would not have wanted to help out Inu. "I'm thinking... There's a place down in Yamaguchi Prefecture, called Hachigamine Park. Sorry, but it's unpopulated at night. But it's really nice, and a great way to kill time. There's an obstacle course, a giant roller slide, and a ferris wheel." He smiled. He remembered going there a few months earlier, right before he joined the gang.

"Shall we?" he asked. Ouki and Buta extended their hands. Damien took their hands and apparated down to Hachigamine park.

[Distortia, Choki, I'll pm you what Hachigamine looks like.]

Inu was beginning to appreciate how painful it was to be hit by a truck. He started to feel a little better, but it was as Yuta had said, his energy was drained. Yuta helped him up so he could lay on his bed. He collapsed on it roughly.
"What... what will you tell them?" his voice was horse. The poison had made him terribly parched.

Yuta gave Inu a knowing look and said, "About what? Nothin very secretive about you making an energy transferance to Neko. After all, she is hurt." Yuta stuck her head out the door. "Where is that Damien? Oh well, I can brew well enough. I'll be right back with a pick-me-up." Yuta darted out to grab some ingredients.

Inu took stock of what just happened. He had seriously under estimated Yuta, nearly to his own death. He was outnumbered at that cultist hideout, and one of these days he was going to get captured by the ministry if he didn't stop being so reckless and hot headed. He sighed. His mind was cloudy. He wanted to sleep, but he was hurting too much. He remembered the silver, and how it had worried him. He smiled. 'Only the thing that could destroy me could counter the thing that would destroy anyone else', he thought.
He needed to start earning the respect and loyalty of the others. Up until this moment, he had been nothing but a bully. He used the skills of others to strenghten himself, but what did he give? Inu thought hard. "I gave them a start. I brought them together." he said. But it wouldn't be enough to keep them together. He wondered if Ouki and Damien would ever forgive him. He wanted to be clever like the others, but he was really just a researcher, a watcher. Even the potion that hightened his werewolf tendencies before the full moon was something Damien had made.
"Ah well. We'll all sleep on it." he said out loud, and he started to doze off.

Yuta came back into Inu's room to find that he had fallen asleep. Yuta smiled and sat the potion where she knew he'd see it when he woke up and slipped out. Maybe she'd catch up with the others, see what was going on. She'd knew she'd heard something about Hachigamine Park... Well, she'd go have a look and see if they were there. Yuta set out, slipping silently through the darkness around her.

Ouki was very surprised when she reappeared on the seat of a ferris wheel, high above the ground. She shreaked, and grabbed onto the first thing she could find. It was Damien, who thought it was all very funny. The seat and cage rocked as she paniced. Below them, she could hear Buta laughing. She looked down and saw him on the outside of the cage below, rocking it back and forth dangerously and laughing all the while. Damien reached out to grab her hands. "Shhhh...." he said. Ouki kept looking down and around her, wondering how they were going to got down. Damien leaned forward. "Look." he whispered into her ear, and Ouki turned her face to look into Damiens. He wore such an amused expression. Then he turned his face, and Ouki followed his sight. She gasped. It was so....
"Wow. It's so beautiful." She said simply. The water was dark but the lights of boats and the lights on the horizon were picturesque. The ferris wheel creaked and the whole park was still and deserted. But Ouki could hear beyond it, and concentrated on the wind, the smells of the plants and blossums. She breathed deeply and closed her eyes. When she turned back to Damien, he had been watching her.
"HEY!!! Watch this!" Buta thundered from below. Ouki jumped in surprise.
"He's trully insane." she muttered. Damien simply smiled at her.

Was she really that afraid of heights? Damien silently laughed to himself. Poor girl. He looked out at the night sky. One could barely see the ocean over the mountains, and a few boats were there. But nearby, nearby it was silent, the lights of a small town a couple clicks from the ferris wheel made tiny pricks in the darkness, while farther away on the opposite side a golf course was lit up.. The Park itself was pitch black, making it impossible to make out the roller slide, or the obstacle course, or the flower garden, or the mini train.

The Ferris Wheel itself was not moving. The power was completely out. Damien could barely make out Ouki's face. It was a face of fear. Unnecessary fear, but fear nonetheless. "Ouki," he said. "I didn't know you were afraid of heights." He grinned. She was holding onto hom like a pitbull to a piece of steak. It was killing his arm.

"Sorry!" Ouki said quickly and loosened her vise grip on Damien's arm. The idea of being suspended above the ground in something she could not control was un nerving, even if it wasn't moving. "How are we going to get down?"

Damien knew the answer to the question even before Ouki could finish asking it. Trees weren't the only things he climbed. Scaling a Ferris Wheel was like a walk in the park for him, although the humidity and night-time condensation could make it potentially fatal. Judging from the way the bar was angled in relation to the car, they were probably a a bit below the top of the ferris wheel's revolution.

He lightly rocked the car. "Just sit back and relax," he laughed as Ouki clung to him like a cat clings to a tree over water. Wow, should he really take her tree climbing one day? Especially with how high he liked to climb? He laughed silently to himself.

Ouki could feel Damien laughing and felt her pride swell in her throat. She held on instead to the seat and cage, and decided to try to focus into the dark. Someone told her once, long ago when these things mattered, that the best way to enjoy a ride was to keep your eyes open. "Oh!" she shrieked as the car started to tip forward. She really preferred walking to flying.

Damien could tell she was genuinely terrified. "Hey, hey," he hushed. "It's ok, it's ok." He squeezed her tightly. The car had tilted forward a bit more than he had expected, effectively scaring Ouki. "Don't worry. Hey, I'll stop rocking it, ok? I apologize." Poor girl. She obviously hadn't been high up in a long time. Her breathing was quick, and sharp, and she seemed to be almost sobbing. Wow... Poor girl. Poor girl.

"I'm fine, really." her voice shook, and she cursed herself for being a bad liar. She was scared, and she hated being afraid. There was no control in it, only vulnerabilty. Damien squeezed her tighter. SHe wrapped her arms tightly around him, burying her face in his shirt. She started to feel safer and calmer. Her breathing slowed, as did the cage's swinging. Damien was stroking her hair now. It felt.. nice. She savered the moment. Two emotions she rarely felt, experienced at once; fear, and ..... she wasn't sure. Joy? Real joy, not just the sick joy she got from killing, but actual happiness, comfort, peace.

Damien held her close. As he did so, he felt her warm body against his. What was this feeling? He had never felt it before... It was strange, alien to him. No... it wasn't alien... it had just been a long time since he had experienced it. Could this feeling be... love? It wasn't the seductive, fierce love that so many tv shows had. No, it was a compassionate love. And it was burning so strongly in his chest... sedating him, making him remember how to be human. He began humming a tune that he hadn't hummed since he was little, and slowly fell asleep in the car, with Ouki resting on him.

With a hiss, Neko bolted upright- then winced slightly as she felt her body strain to respond to the action. Her muscles were incredibly stiff and achy and her stomach felt unusually sore. The last thing she remembered was...

Neko looked around with wide and frightened eyes, scanning the dim room for the presence of the fanatical cultists. But no, there was no one hiding in the shadows, no chanting and no obscure and probably made up ritual. Just her room at the hideout, her bed, her nightgown. Was she dreaming, delirious? No, it smelt right.

Her hand rubbed her stomach gently, and feeling something unusual under the cloth she slipped it under her nightgown to feel. Touching the scars there almost made her cry. She felt...fragile, almost broken. No matter how much she wished it, Neko was not like Inu. She wanted to be so much stronger rather than this beaten form she currently was. Her thoughts were a whirlwind of anger, fear and everything in between until she pushed them aside to try and stand up.

The attempt was exhausting, but Neko managed to stand with the barest of wobbles. She needed to see him, to apologise at the very least. The thought almost made her blush. Steeling herself against the complaints of her body, Neko stepped out of her room and slowly made her way to Inu's room- the wall an unwitting partner to her efforts.

Inu was in the middle of a dream when something woke him. He layed very still, his eyes wide open. He felt so sore he could barely move, and he wondered for moment if someone had jinxed him with a petrificus totalus curse. When he realised where he was and what had happened, he slowly pushed himself up to a sitting position. On the bedside table was a glass of something dark red. He tilted his head, and then he remembered. He picked up the potion Yuta had made him and drank it all in one long gulp. His body started to feel better, he was able to move and his joints were less stiff. He swung his legs around so he could stand up. The movement made him feel dizzy. It was so odd, to feel so.... human. He was such a mess, and all from one tiny scratch from Yuta's poisoness fingernail. He would have to get a vial of that for his stores. Deliciously cruel, this one was. Inu lifted his head, his senses suddenly sharp. Someone was approaching outside. He had no idea why anyone would be up, maybe the others were returning, maybe it was an intruder. He stood up and moved fast and quietly to the other side of the door. It opened slowly, and whoever it was stood for a moment silently scanning the room. He reached around and grabbed the intruder, puling them to his chest, a brutal grip around their neck. His nose filled with a familiar scent and he stopped. It was Neko. He looseend his grip around her throat, but held her there still. He breathed her hair, he wrapped his arms around her body. "Neko." he sighed into her ear with equal relief and delight. He felt his heart lift and he couldn't help himself, he turned her around and looked into her face, searching for a sign that it was okay to kiss her. So odd how he felt for the first time that he needed permission to do something to someone.
