Inu noticed Yuta leaning against the wall outside as Buta charged into the room. The door closed behind Buta and Yuta did not try to catch Inu's eyes. Inu looked warily up at Buta. Then he shook his head.
"Cultists." he spat, and paced across the room, opened his wardrobe and grabbed a sports bag to pack a few things in. He started tossing a few items of clothing in, and then pulled out a bit of towel which conceiled a sharp weapon. He placed it carefully in the bag, then zipped it up. He looked up at Buta again. "Don't worry, I killed them all. And the rest seemed to decide to do the job for me. They all must have taken some kind of poison. What a bunch of fools." He threw his bag over his shoulder. "Make no mistake, when I find out where the rest of them are, and there will be more, I'll let you know so you can pull some fingernails off for me." Inu extended one hand up onto Buta's shoulder, reassuringly. Buta reached across and roughly patted Inu's hand in response.
Inu pushed passed Buta and walked out into the kitchen and main area. He turned his head and eyed Yuta. She was checking her nails, and she looked up at him with a bored expression. Inu stalked up to Neko who was now covered in a blanket but still on the table.
"Is she alright? When can we move her?" Inu said to Damien without looking.
"She was hurt very badly, Inu. What happened to you two?" Ouki queried. Inu knew he didn't have to explain himself to anyone in this group, except Ouki. He and Ouki had recruited everyone in this room, and Neko had been Inu's choice. Ouki had always told him she was unstable, but had extreme potential to be very strong. He even wanted to change her into a werewolf too, but he never divulged this to Neko herself. He wanted her to be stronger. He hated with every part of his being that she was so fragile. Ouki was right, and it made Inu furious. Never before had they ever had one of the six be captured and nearly killed. And it just had to be Neko, the one Inu was emotionally connected with. Inu looked around the room; everyone was looking at his face now.
"It seems," Inu spoke, dropping his bag onto the floor with a loud bang that caused the people in the room to startle, "that we have enemies who see it fit to carve us up like animal sacrifices...." Inu glanced at Neko, who seemed to be recovering as her breathing raised the blanket up and down. "We are not just at risk with the ministry and the police. I had never considered this. I admit it. This is medieval, this is ancient witch hunting. " He stopped, looking around the room. Each member of the sadist six looked transfixed.
"So..." said Ouki. "What can we do about it?" she stepped forward, stroking Neko's hair with her hand.
"It's time we make a decision." Inu stood up straight. "I'd like to know that you have my back. And I want to know that you have mine." Inu stared back at Ouki. Then he knelt down and ran his hand through the blood that Neko had dripped onto the floor. "Individually, we are weak!" he scoffed. "It's not just about murder now, not just about the killing and the pain, it's about US. They are hunting us, and I, the hunter, didnt even see it coming!!!" He kicked one of the chairs again, knocking it down. He paced the room.
"Give them a reason to seek us out now..." he growled. "Give them a reason to be trully afraid of us. To..." Inu reached up as if he was plucking the word from the air. "LOATHE us. Run off on your own, and you can end up like Neko. Work together, and we can rage war." he stood still now, looking around at his fellow witches and wizards, analysing their faces. His eyes rested on Ouki. "Do my words fall on deaf ears?" he said softly.
"No." Ouki whispered. "So what is it that you want? A pact?"
"Yes." Inu said matter of factly.
