I went and saw Pink Panther 2 last week which was funny, I thought it would be a bit crappy since the first one is boring.
I saw 17 Again because my best friend wanted to take his girlfriend. It was okay, I only like the Star Wars guy.
I think I might go see Race to Witch Mountain or Mall cop but I've got my eye on Inkheart which I have yet to see. ;)

Race to Witch mountain was really good. But there were so many Abbot and Castello-ish jokes made about it it.
I want to see Pink Panther 2, too. But I have no money. :(

I saw 17 again, great film, some bits of it are a bit cringe because you know what he will say and you know he shouldn't but its funny when he does it...but you still can't help but cringe and hope he doesn't.

I saw The Dark Knight and The Day the Earth Stood Still at my friend's house last night, both were positively fantastic.

Saw Race to Witch Mountain today, really good, quite awesome special effects

Not sure it was continuity taxi the whole way through though, some of the distance shots looked distinctly not trashed when it should have been.

Well films are shot out of order so they might not have noticed those.

HP6 has yet to get to our theaters, but when it does, I'll see it, just for fun. What I'm really waiting for is HP7 parts 1 and 2. It gets me super-excited just thinking about it. I might not even see the first part and wait for the second one to come out and then just watch them one after another. Wait, what am I saying? Wait for Harry Potter? NEVER!

And, to stay true to the topic, I saw Star Trek last night.

Just watched Terminator Salvation. It was a very good movie. I liked it a lot. There weren't any major plot twists, but I still liked it.

Recent movies I have watched...

Half Blood Prince - I was complaining how draggy it was to my friend, and the seemingly lack of action

Monsters vs Aliens - quite interesting, but i think Pixar still rules in terms of animation story telling :)

Star Trek - very smart of them to go the alternate universe storyline, so it breaks free from all the constraints of the original series. Looking forward to see future sequels

I saw HP6 a week ago, and am going to see it again tomorrow. It thought it was better than the last two. It didn't necessarily have everything right and dandy, but it was funny. It was more like a comedy than anything, and if you view it as such, you'll have a great time watching it.

btw, The Star Trek thing is in direct correlation with the original. It's the exact same timeline. It's simply a prequel. There probably won't be any sequels, unless they revamp the series again. Note: I know that old Spock is from the alternate timeline, and not the main one, and is joining the original because *SPOILER ALERT* in the main timeline, Spock dies at the end.

Huh? Erm, I thought the Star Trek movie is actually a different timeline right from the start. As in after the explosion of the blackhole, the Romulan mining ship from the future, was transported to the past into the time space where they attacked USS Kelvin (James Kirk's father captained)

Yes it was meant to be a prequel before the main stream series, it surely did. But in the end, it became an alternate universe because of the time travelling.

If the Romulan mining ship was never transported to the past, USS Kelvin wouldn't have been destroyed, and James Kirk's father would have lived and watched his son grow up, and events following the original timeline would succeed on. But unfortunately, the arrival of the mining ship has changed the future. I'm pretty sure the Vulcan planet was not destroyed in the original series timeline.
