The Tales of Beedle teh Bard will be published by Bloomsbury and released on 4th December 2008. But here's the kicker; there will only be 100,000 copies printed and they will each cost about $100 U.S. dollars. The article:
Only 100,000 copies? I knew it would be coming out thanks to my Amazon.co.uk email, but there was nothing of a limit mentioned. There's actually going to be 2 editions- one with the stories, for about £4, and the collector's edition for about £50. I can pre-order it, but won't be able to until I get my first uni payment on September 15th- I hope I'm not too late...
I'll just have to go with the standard edition. Still, Tales of Beedle the Bard is a book I have to get. I, personally want to read Babbity Rabbitty and the Cackling Stump.
I think that I'm most looking forward to the Fountain of Fair Fortune or The Warlock's Hairy Heart or whatever it's called or Dumbledore's notes on Wand Lore in The Tale of Three Brothers or all of it!
Nobody in my family besides me loves HP enough to get special edition. So, unless I get a lot of babysitting jobs by the time it's December, I'm getting standard edition.
Ah well. You have to remember that it's not as fair when you compare your family to one with six members not in including Benny. Or Fred. But at least you won't have to share it with anyone.
