He kneeled besie Geneve panting horribly. She was dead.
"Voldemort!" Liam bellowed
Voldemorts figure contorted as the boy stepped towards him,
"Don't be a foolish boy! I could finish you off with a flick of my wrist!" he laughed icily.
Liam felt the anger boil up inside him, he had never felt such hatred. Voldemort had killed his friend and what more his crush.
Liams whole body glowd a vibrant silver as he thrust out an arm, Voldemort screeched as the silver touched him !
'Of course' thought Liam, he cant stand good magic !
Liam let the magic flow out of his finger tips and into Voldemort.
When Liam finally drew back his arm Voldemort was nothing more than a mere cloak.
Liam picked it up and threw it over his shoulders, he would get Geneve back, and he would tell her how he felt.

Valencia stared in shock as Liam finished the Dark Lord off. As he placed the cloak on his own shoulders, Valencia put out her hand to stop.
"Liam, take the cloak off. I know it makes you feel proud. But if there is one thing I"ve learned over the years, it's that artifacts of dark wizards should never be used." A distant look of pain came onto Valencia's face as she remembered some distant memory.

Liam took off the cape and pulled out his wand, 'Incendio' he muttered and the black cloak smoked and blazed on the grass.
Liam felt instant tears come to his eyes but he blinked them back and took out his wand. He placed his wand on his chest and lifted it, something silvery and whispy was stuck to the wand and as Liam broke it in half he replaced half of it back into his chest. It was his veela soul, which hopefully would save Geneve from her death-like state.
He moved his wand over to Geneve and touched the tip of his wand on her chest, the silvery strand went in and immediately Geneve's eyes snapped shut and she took a deep breath of air.
Liam felt relief surge through him as h helped Geneve sit up.
"Valencia, whens the wedding?" Liam asked innocently while peering over her shoulder and looking at Nikolaus.

"Ahem, that's 'Proffesor' to you, Liam. After all, it is still the school year." Valencia paused. "Errr.... I think. Does anyone actually know what today's date is?"

Nikolaus could sense his face was getting hot. He took a quick peek at Valencia who was blushing madly as she asked the question on the date, trying hard to avoid the question. He laughed.

Valencia glanced at Nikolaus, who had started to chuckle, and burst out laughing. "I think that breaks the record for awkward silences."

Liam strolled over to Nikolaus and smiled into his red hot face.
"I hear wedding bells" teased Liam.
Geneve ran up to Liam and embraced him, she pecked him on the cheek.
"Oh I was so worried !" she said while fussing over Liams scratches. Her eyes widened with shock when she saw the deep cut she and carved into his palm.
"I've got to tell you something Geneve" Liam said slowly.
"Yes" replied Geneve, her bright eyes lit up with hope.
"I lo-" he began but was interrupted by a cheering noise.
Liam spun around to see Valencia and Nikolaus kissing, he smiled. It was all better now...

Valencia turned to Nikolaus. "The only question is," Valencia asked. "Do you hear wedding bells?"

Nikolaus almost choked when he heard Valencia's question.

"NOW?!?!?" he thought to himself as he stared at Valencia with disbelief. He could feel Geneve and Liam chuckling nearby and swore he would get them later. But he had something he needed to accomplish first. He held out his wand hand at Geneve.

"May I have my wand back?" he smiled, and Geneve did accordingly. And with a quick flick, a huge bouquet of red roses materialised instantly into Valencia's arms. He bowed down at Valencia, offering his right hand out as an invitation for Valencia to place her hand on his welcoming palm. Valencia did so and he held her hand like a gentleman would, softly yet with a firm grip, a feeling that he would never let go of this hand ever again, in his lifetime. He proceeded to kneel down on one leg, and asked the happiest question he ever did. "Will you marry me, Valencia Marcellus?"

Valencia felt a grin spread across her face. "It's not like you'd except no for an answer." she teased. "Of course I will."

The surrounding people cheered in delight as the couple made their way down the the lake.
Liam and Geneve chuckled and when Nikolaus passed them he twitched his wand an Liam found his tongue stuck to the roof of his mouth.
Liam and Geneve looked at eachother and Liam felt himself grow hot,
"What were you saying earlier?" asked Geneve mockingly.

Galena grinned as she watched Valencia wrap her arms around her fiance. Galena was filled with relief and happiness now that her friend was free from her grandfather's clutches and the Voldemort was dead once again. Now maybe her reign as headmistress could be a bit more normal. Of course, there was a lot of work to be done now, what with the castle partially destroyed.

But all that could wait. There was going to be a wedding! As soon as Valencia and Nikolaus broke off their hug, Galena ran forward and wrapped her own arms around Valencia.

"I'm so glad you're all right!" Galena shouted. "And congratulations! I didn't even know you two felt anything for each other. I always miss the good stuff."

"Well, you won't miss the wedding," Valencia grinned.

"Not for the world," Galena agreed.

Galena hugged her friend for a few more seconds before stopping and resuming her headmistress duties. "I think everyone needs to go to the hospital wing," Galena announced, "I believe that part of the castle is still there. Madam Pomfrey is going to have a hippogriff when she sees us."

Valencia laughed, "Good idea. Let's go everyone!"

Galena led the group back to the castle, happy that things seemed to be getting back to normal.

Damien apparated right where the group had just been standing. They were all now walking back to the castle, talking and laughing. "WHAT?!!" He yelled. "I missed the fight?" The group turned around to see him walking towards them. "The name's Damien. I can't believe you beat the bad guy without me!"

"How do you know it's over if you haven't been here?" said the girl.

"I know that, young lady, because there aren't anymore death eaters, because YOU, young lady are not under the control of Voldemort, and also, the fight always ends at the rising of the sun. That's how it ended in Lord of the Rings, the battle of Helm's Deep, and that's how it ended when Potter put down Voldemort 19 years ago." It was true. Here at Hogwafts, the sun had risen, shining it's glorious light on the beautiful castle, marred only where the Headmaster's study should be.

Then Damien started, "But, dang!!! When Potter was a kid, it normally took a few months before bad crud started happening. It's only the second day of school, and you've already fought and put down the dark lord. What're you going to do the rest of this year?"

Valencia cocked an eyebrow at Damien. "I've never seen someone so upset that they weren't killed. They're are still a bunch of my cousins running around, not to mention the Death Eaters still in the school." Valencia answered the man's flood of questions. Then with a smile, she added, "And Harry always had been a procrastinator."

"He was?" Damien asked sincerely. "I never went here while he did." Then he scratched his monkey's chin, as it had side-along apparated him. "And this little monster is Suge." Suge held out his hand as if to shake hands with whoever woud shake hands with him.
