Galena darted out from behind the tree as soon as the barrier exploded. She watched as two people came bursting out and brandished their wands at Valencia and the strange man. All four of them were standing face to face, wands pointing at each other.

It was now or never, Galena thought. Valencia was vastly outnumbered. Galena darted behind the tree once more and changed back into a person. She ran out from the tree, holding her wand in front of her. She crept up to Valencia and stood next to her, pointing her wand at the two people who had just burst out from the barrier. She poked Valencia gently in the back and whispered to her, "Valencia, it's me, Galena. Have you got any idea what's going on?"

Valencia felt a prod in her back. It was Galena. Thank god.
"Yes, I do know what's going on. Marcellus, my grandfather, is trying to bring Voldemort back. And by the looks of it, he's brought some of the family into it." Valencia gestured towards the firgures. "Those are my couisins." She began to duel. "It's like Christmas all over again."

Geneve was dying to open her eyes and catch a glimpse of her father; she had never met him. He had left her mother before she was born. It was strange that her mother didn't bother to mention that Geneve's own father was a wizard. Until then she had thought she had both muggle parents.
Geneve could hear something happening. The woman sounded like she was in horrible pain. Her father left her side, and Geneve risked opening her eyes just a bit. She could make out that the woman was on the floor, clutching at her throat. A glass smashed on the floor. Geneve closed her eyes again. What was happening. Then, the woman stopped groaning.
"There." she said. "And I'll take some more Polyjuice potion with me, just in case I need more time. "
"Do you even know what she sounds like?" Geneve's father scoffed.
"I've heard her speak before, and besides," the woman said, and then she mumbled an incantation, "A quick spell can make me sound exactly like her." Geneve was hearing her own voice!
"Remember that she's kind, and she's just a child!" Geneve's father said. He was sounding annoyed.
"Ya, right. Ok. So hurry up. You need to hit me. Here, use this." there was a pause. Then a sickening 'smack', and Geneve guessed the woman fell to the floor. She could hear her father returning. "We'll be back soon." he said. Geneve opened her eyes.
"Dad?" she said. He stood up, shocked.
"Uh, you'll be safe here. You can't leave. We will be back soon." he turned around, leaving her there on the couch.
"Dad, why are you doing this??" Geneve shouted after him. She stood up, as he picked up the woman. Geneve covered her mouth in horror. The woman's face came into view; it was like Geneve was looking into a mirror. Her father gave her a mornful look, and then, he and the woman disapparated.

Galena opened her eyes wide and lifted one eyebrow in shock as she listened to what Valencia said. "Voldemort?" she repeated.

"Yes," Valencia replied.

Galena was still a little bit clueless, but she didn't have any time to prod Valencia for more information. A stunning spell came from one of Valencia's cousins and Galena blocked it just in time. She sent a few spells back and soon, she was in a full fledged duel with Valencia and three perfect strangers. Galena couldn't imagine what Valencia's Christmases must have been like.

The man reappeared at the back of the house with Geneve over his shoulder. A thick cloud of smoke blocked his vision, and he stumbled around to try to find his way. He kept walking forward, when suddenly he ran right into a small person. They both fell over; the man dropped Geneve. The man stood up, muttered a spell and the smoke cleared for a moment, revealing Arthur knocked over in the snow. Geneve had landed beside him. Arthur coughed and reached across to check that Geneve was ok, but when he looked back to see what the man was doing, he had vanished again. The smoke was lifting, and Arthur noticed the house fire had been extinguished. There was a new sound now; the sound of fireworks was the best way to describe it.

"Oh, so now you think I'm on your side...Valencia?" Nikolaus snickered upon hearing her name for another witch, while the opposing duo kept hurling their curses towards their direction.

"I don't mind being blown apart, you know..." Nikolaus sneered and remained motionless. Somehow without doing anything, the curses aimed at him were deflected as if the curses bounced off on its own.

Liam stood rooted to the spot.

2 misterious people were firing off curses , and one looked familliar..

Oh no it's Geneve, he thought feircly,

He sprang infront of the teachers but he was unfortunate becaue at that time a stunning spell hit his chest..

He blacked out, and the last thing he could remember was the look in Geneve's eye..

These were the worst teachers in the world. How could they allow three first years, with no magical experience, to follow them on an extremely dangerous mission.

All Arthur could do was hide. It's not as if he knew any spells.

One of Valencia's cousins was a woman who bore a striking resemblence to Geneve. She continued to fight, her face contorted in anger. "Keep them back!" she screamed. Curses continued to fly. At the back of the house, Geneve still layed in the snow. She started to stir, and lifted her head. She looked around, clutching at the back of her head, which when she produced her hand, was bleeding slightly from being struck. She groaned, and stood up. She looked toward the turbulent sounds coming from the front of hte house. Then, she noticed someone hiding behind a pile of rubble. She approached curiously. She prodded for her wand, but it wasn't there. "Hello?" she called. "I'm not armed, come out?"
Arthur pulled his feet in and cursed for letting himself be seen. He stood up, comforted in the thought that he had Geneve's wand, so she couldn't hurt him using magic anyway. "I think the teachers are having a big fight with someone." he said. "And there's no way I'm getting in the way like Liam did!"
Geneve turned her head. "What do you mean?" she asked.
"Liam went racing around the front and I heard him get hit...' Arthur said.
"What?!" Geneve almost shouted. "Well we have to help him! Come on!"
"No way! Listen to it over there! We're safer to wait until it's over!" Arthur ducked down behind the rubble.
"Right. If you won't go, I will." she said, and she stalked off to the front of the house.
"You lot are insane!!!" Arthur called out. And he sat back down, pushing bits of wood up around his hiding place.

"Ahh, well, in that case......" Valencia replied, still dueling, and with a flick of her wand, sent the man dressed in furs slamming into the wall of a small shack where he lay sprawled, apparently unconsious. Valencia indifferently turned to face her cousins again. When it comes to disfuntional families, she thought to herself, Mine takes the cake.

Geneve came around the corner, and at the front of the house two witches were dueling a man and woman in dark robes. Another man in furs was laying on the ground, and then she saw Liam. She ran over to him, lifting his head.
"Liam?" she said softly. No response. "Liam!" she said, and shook him. She slapped as his cheek, trying to revive him. Liam began to stir. His eyes opened and he looked up at her. Geneve paused for a moment, trying to tell if she could sense the Veela magic. It was hard for her, because she wasn't Geneve, she was a full grown witch hiding inside Geneve. She stared into Liam's face, waiting for him to speak. Even though Liam looked happy to see her, no Veela magic was eminating off him. 'It would seem he doesn't know how to control it yet', thought Geneve. She smiled at him, and helped him to stand up. Liam brushed off the snow, and looked out at the battle.

"Stand back, you two!" Galena shouted at Geneve and Liam, once Liam regained consciousness. Galena was definitely regretting her decision to let them come. She continued dueling Valencia's cousins but kept an eye on the two first years to make sure they weren't getting in the middle of the fight.

Nikolaus laid in the snow, feeling a stinging sensation on his cheek where a small cut was made during the impact. A small drop of blood trickled down his cheek and the thought of someone breaking his own spell creation further interested him.

He sat upright and observed. From his position, he could clearly see the 4 wizards and witches engaging in their deadly duel and the 2 younglings now crouching over the rubbles after a command given by the the older of the 2 witches. He also spotted another small figure hidden behind a weakened structure of the house. That kid was in a precarious situation.

Instead of conjuring a protective shield around the kid, Nikolaus simply blasted off the wall with a dark bolt of fire. It's time to make an impactful entry.

Geneve ducked down with Liam as the curses flew. She peered around the edge of the stairs at the front of the house, trying to catch a glimpse of the other two attackers. Then she ran out and called "Over here!" The female of Valencia's cousins noticed her, and nearly copped a blast to the head from the distraction.
"What are you DOING?" Liam yelled out to Geneve, and he ran out to pull her back in. Geneve tumbled back against the wall of the house. Liam glared at her. "What were you thinking? Are you trying to get us killed?" Geneve tried again to sense the Veela magic. Controlling, manipulating, entrancing, something. She sensed nothing but anger. Geneve's mind was too comfortable with him now, she cursed to herself. But he can't help his blood. He will want to use it, once he realises he can make people want to do anything to please him. Such are the dreams of kings, to have a power like this. Yes. The Dark Lord musth have this magic. Geneve pulled her arm out of Liam's grip and tried to explain. "I was only trying to help. You know, distract them so the teachers could finish them off."

Liam looked into her eyes, he knew that he would have to hav to use his Veela magic.

"Geneve, Don't be that stupid again" he said.

Suddenly he felt a power surge through his body.

Don't be that stupid again. it seemed to say.

Stay here
