You really enjoy time here, so there is no problem in being and addict (I have become one too, there's no way to help it)
If Karkarof knows Snape is a traitor to DE, then he surely would have tell Lucius (Draco mentions they were friends, and he was going to be sent there)

That's a really good point, Neo...Karkaroff MUST know about Snape being a spy, for he was there when DD confirmed it at the trial..
so there a actually 2 possibilities: K. told his friend Lucius, so he knows it as well now...but it could also be that he didn't talk with Lucius about that subject at all. I mean, Malfoy is a Death Eater. Karkaroff betrayed the Death Eaters to save his own skin, and telling Lucius anything about what he heard about Snape would mean confessing his deceit.

That's a good point also, but all DE know that in a way they have to lie or something to go out (just like Malfoy must have done it), so if K. tells K. he tried to give Snape, and he is traitor is a way to ahow that he didn't mean to be a traitor, only that he wanted to save his skin

I also think he must have told Lucius. To me, K. just doesn't seem very bright and even less brave. He tried to talk to Snape about the dark mark in front of the whole class!! He was too scared of a possible return of Voldemort to stand it alone, without telling anybody. And he considers Malfoy his friend. He was a Slytherin, so he would have done the same, after all.
So here we have the old question again: Why does Lucius treat Snape like a friend while they must be arch-enemies?

i persoanally dont think anyone except Dumbledore knew at the time Voldemort lost his power...otherwise why did Volde let Snape live

i think Voldemort discovered Snape was a spy during the time he was in the school with Quirrel

in that case why would anyone know....and even if Volde had known why would he tell all his death eaters....

1. he wouldnt want it getting back to Snape that he knew cos that would make Snape harder to find to punish and theres a chance others could be spies too
2. i seriously doubt Volde would tell his deatheater anything it wasnt necessary for them to know....because if he did and one got caught it could be disastrous for him

i think the reason karkaroff goes to snape is cos he knew snape was a death eater and snape was the only death eater he knew of in the school so snape would have to do

I know that Voldemort is most posible not to have mention Snape being a traitor, but what about Karkaroff?

I know that Karakoff's school teaches the Dark Arts, but what if the reason that he went to Spane is because he remembered that DD said that he returned to the light, and Kara really wasn't just scared, but didnt' want to be a DE anymore.

Note, we never really see Lucious being friendly with Kara, just Draco talking about it in teh beguining. Maybe they were friends, but then, like Snape, Karakoff was just keeping up appearences with Lucious?

Also, on another line, it seems from the trials that they weren't restricted entry. Rita Skeeter was there, but that might jsut be because she's the press, but DD and Moody were at all of them. Who's to say that Lucious and possible other DE's weren't there? Is it possible do you think?

Yeah that's right, it sounds very likely that some DE went to see what the captured ones said in the trials. So there is a huge possibility of Malfoy knowing about Snape being a traitor, what I think is more likely is that Lucius never mention it to Draco.

And also, have we actualy been told in the books that they are friends, or whatever? I mean, the only thing that I can remember about them being together is at that Quiddich match, but that was only in the movie, wasn't it? I dont' remember it in the book... and of course Draco saying that Lucios would probably vote for him, but that doesn't mean anything really!

Maybe they're not exactly what one would call "friends", but at least Malfoy treats Snape like one of his own kind-he seems to accept him as the head of Slytherin. Regarding the way he treat DD or Harry, I think that he'd do the same with Snape, espwcially as he's the teacher of his son.

So isnt' taht interesting! All we have to base that they might be friendly towards eachother is how Draco and Snape interact... Who knows, things might indeed be really tense betweent hem and it's jsut htat Lucous hasnt' told Draco, and Snape doesnt' want it to be obvious!
