Oh, that's a really good thought, Fawkes! I didn't even think of that... Would be cool if he could still speak it.

But I have a feeling he can't. When Harry was talking to Dumbledore about his ability to speak parseltongue, Dumbledore mentioned how some of Voldy got transfered to Harry. Dumbledore was probably thinking of the Horcrux. And if Harry no longer has part of Voldy in him, he wouldn't be able to do those things that got transfered to him.

It's hard to say, because Harry's been speaking it for a while (while maybe not relizeing it) And Ron spoke it even though it don't come natrual to him. I think that Harry may still be able to a certain extent....

That's true about Ron speaking it. That makes me think that Parseltongue may not even be something that's inherited. Maybe it's something that you can do if you truly need to or try really hard or something.

Parseltongue is probably something you can learn just like any other language. Harry was just special in that he could speak it without realizing or thinking about it. If he can't speak it anymore he probably didn't want to learn it again.

J.K. Rowling: No, he loses the ability, and is very glad to do so.
Nigel: Can harry speak parseltongue when he is no longer a horcrux?

JKR said this in her online chat. Just what I suspected. :)

if i remember rightly the first door was in the sink in the girls bathroom and then there was another door which the basalisk was behind so she would of had to go in to open the second door.

not much point of a secret room u cant get out of anyway.

Ron could speak it, not understand it. He was simply immitating what Harry did.

It's like when I am speaking to a person whose first language is Spanish. I can ask where the bathroom is, or count to ten, or ask "Where is your mother?", but I really have no understanding of the language.

Firstly: I don't think Harry can still speak parceltongue because the sole of Voldy has gone from him and DD said that he could only speak it because a bit of Voldy was transmitted to Harry which is no longer there.

Harry, Ron, Lockhart and ginny got out of the chamber by Fawkes. Pheonixs have the power to carry heavy objects so they basically held on to him and he flew up the tunnel. But i dunno how Ron and Hermione got out when they went down to get the basilisk fangs. :???:
