Epilogue - nineteen years later

The Epilogue at the end of the book is in my opinion a window that JKR left open, in the event she ever felt the need to write a 2nd series of story's based on this one. I think she is undecided if she wants to stop writing. The Epilogue did 2 things it seems to me that the Epilogue both tied up the main loose end's but at the same time introduces possible new characters (the kids at the end) she even named a possible new villian in Scorpius Malfoy.

JKR distinctly changed the last line from something about the scar to "All was well." so that it would close it off. But it still leaves an opening just incase she has an idea.
