Finishing the last book; one cannot read the other ones again in the same way..because think of it; if I want to reread the halfblood prince... I would KNOW certain things of Dumbledore and snape....

Be interesting to read them all again from the beginning though now we know it all and see all the clues and also find things which you suddenly go 'Aaaah!' at now, I think it'd be fun, totally different but fun.

I agree, Scellanis! I'm going to read the whole series again and look for hints and foreshadowing and stuff.

i would also agree. its always good to read back over something and you always pick up on bits that you've missed before. i still do that everytime i reread the series.

It doesn't matter to me...I am the kind of person who can read books several times, despite knowing what happens and why, lol. I can't even count how many times I read all 7 Chronicles of Narnia, I imagine the Harry Potter Seven will be the same for me as I have read 1-5 about 4 times and 6 3 times already. I will also pick up things I didn't catch before as I am a bit of a fast reader but I will mostly read them for the sheer enjoyment and I can't imagine the enjoyment waning any time soon! My kids also read them and we enjoy quizzing each other on them.

Hey ! speaking of reviewing has anyone ever found an old reference to Snitchs having flesh memory?

I was sure I was going to go to my copy of Quidditch through the ages and find it but it isn't in there.

THat was one detail I thought she threw in that I had never seen before which only bothered me because I liked it when she brought something up again that hadn't seemed important and then you were like OHHH! that is useful!

I thought it was really clever that Harry had to put it to his mouth and that DD knew the minister wouldn't have realized that the snitch wasn't caught in Harry's hand. I wonder had she always planned that or did it strike her as a good idea later? Is that why she had him catch it in his mouth in the first book or was it just convenient to follow from there after she'd done it?

well, i suppose it is unussual to catch a snitch with one's mouth so i thik think it's a combination of both

I suspect she always planned on using that bit of info only because a lot of minor details weren't kept true to the book in the movies, yet this was. I vaguely remember reading somewhere that she oversaw to it that certain details weren't changed, yet others (like the breed of snake at the aquarium and the color of Dudley's hair) were irrelevant so it didn't matter that they stick to the books. The fact that a minor detail like this was kept in the movie script makes me think she may have always planned to use this detail.

Another reason that it was kept in the movie was probobly because it was a much more exciting way to catch the snitch while Dudley's hair wasn't a very important thing to movie goers

re-reading the books again would then lets you see things that you have not noticed before leading up the final confruntation.
