i think he's dead, too. it's all in the phsycology of harry potter. dd had to die because one, harry has to kill voldemort on his own, and two, because they had to have snape kill him to show that even dd makes mistakes sometimes.

Hagrid has NEVER been able to keep a secret. And he would never be able to sit back and watch Harry grieve like that, he would have told Harry about their litte secret even if he wasn't supposed to.

i've only just begun re-reading book six (I'm about a third of the way through), But it seems to me that, as much as I'd like to believe it wasn't Dumbledore that Snape killed, it has to be. By way of the unbreakable vow, had the the person on the other end of Draco's and then Snape's wands not been DD, Snape would not have been forced to kill DD. This is also why I do believe that Snape is, in fact, good, not evil. But that's a topic for another debate.

Wow! I had never really thought of this possibility. I'm going to have to think about it some more. Does he even have a twin brother? Identical, at that?

He's dead - he has a brother Aberforth and he is the barman at one of the pubs at Hogsmeade - can't remember which one now - I so wanted to be able to read them all again before it came out.

What twin brother?

His only brother was at the funeral.

Plus, to assume it was the "twin" instead of him also means the "twin", not Albus, took part in the whole journey prior to the death.

If you're going to have theories, at least give them a solid base.
