Sorry for the downtime

Sorry that BaO has been inaccessible for the last couple of days. I only found out about an hour ago when trying to come here myself. It seems hoppy (the server) had some kind of mini-crash and became totally inaccessible early on Thursday morning. Everything should be back to normal now and there has been no loss of any data.

Aha - so the culprit emerges. 10,000 house points deducted, Run Away!!!

Hee hee - just joking - I'm 100% sure it was nothing you did. Think hoppy was just feeling a bit dozy and wanted a couple of days sleep.

while this forum was down I wandered over to another forum and decided to register so I could post there. First, that forum wouldn't allow me to use "Augusta Longbottom" because it was too long, so I shortened it to GranLongbottom, registered, activated my acct, and updated my profile there. By morning, my account had disappeared, no record of it whatsoever. I emailed their admin numerous times with no response. That night, this forum was still down, so I attempted to register with above mentioned other site again. Although my acct didn't exist, it wouldn't allow me to register the name GranLongbottom, so I chose a new name (EileenPrince). Again, I registered, activated my account, then spent the time updating my profile. Sure enough, the next day my account no longer existed. Grrrrrr! Still no response from thier admin. Luckily, by this time, Paul had this forum back up and running. I guess I will give up trying to get into another forum with customer service like that. I have rarely had any problems with this forum, but when you contact admin here (paul) he always gets back to you in a timely manner. Phooey on those other guys with thier lousy customer service!

Paul, thanks for all that you do to keep this site running!

OMG, Augusta! That same thing kept happening to me when I was first looking for HP forums! :o And for one of them you had to have a certain HP guide book to register. I am so glad that I found BaO! :D
When Fawkes said that she couldn't get on, and then I tried to, and then Duckie tried to, I thought that we were all in trouble!
