Hunting ducks (and other fowl) just for the fun of it takes the lives of innocent birds for no reason. The birds have every right to live on this planet as we do. This cannot even be incorporated into the food chain because no one eats the birds, they just kill them for the fun of it.

and, if you hunt them to extiction, the food chain will get turned whacko.
take ducks, for example. bam, ducks go extict. snakes have less food. the bug poppulation will rise, because the bugs don't have as many preditors.the wolf poppulation might get even lower, because one of their food sources is gone.

Yes it is true that fowl hunting can throw off the food chain. But, what about the people who don't have many to buy food and need to hunt the fowl that may roam their woods? And what if there is a ingredient used from the foels needed for medicien? And we must not forget about bird flu!

If hunting is the only way you can get food than go right ahead, if you're only hunting at a subsistence level than it proboly won't have any effect on the ecology.

If there is a substance in birds that acts as a miraculas medicine it's only a matter of time and effort before it can be produced in the lab.

Also if the only solution we have to bird flu is killing all fowl than we don't deserve to survive,
besides the main danger of bird flu is the posibility that it obtain the ability to be passed from human to human.

it's understand able if you have to hunt to feed your family, but hunting for sport is horrible.
