Let's just face, no sport will ever beat Football by popularity. Except for maybe Quidditch

Thats not true! The USA is the only country in the world that plays football and where it is popular (canada too maybe). And even so, Im pretty sure here in Indiana basketball is more popular than football.

I would probably say that soccer is the most popular worldwide sport, it being played in so many countries. But thats debatable, although, its not even worth debating.

There are many reasons why somebody could hate football, I don't like it because it keeps stopping all the time during the game. Just like there are reasons for people hating every other sport that was ever invented.

I hate American Football. It's confusing. The gym teachers made us play it and it was so boring and I had no idea what was going on!

I like soccer. It makes sense. I used to play when I was younger. Now I just play in the backyard with my family.

For the sake of making things easier and avoiding confusion... let's call American Football as American Football, and Soccer as Football.

Whenever Godric refers to Football, it's Soccer (and don't bother wasting a post with: "No, it's Footbal!") not AF.

AAARgh the whole what is football thing!!!!!!! Ok I got it!!! Speaking of AMERICAN football, we watched The Invincible in school today. I liked the part where they play at the parking lot place without all the equipment, it made it look like rugby!!

Thank you.

And in New Zealand news.... Not a lot. There's an anti-smacking of children bill that'll probably get passed in Parliament, and a high-profile murder conviction from the 1990s that's being appealed to the Privy Council.

That's about it.

Oh, and the All Blacks are joining back into the Super 14 after their world cup pre-season conditioning...

Well that all sounds pretty good.
Run Away, have you ever watched Grid-Iron Gang. It's about this group of prison inmates who have to play their guards! They have to practice in a flooded, muddy parking lot because the guards did that. talk about diry tricks!

I don't tend to watch a lot of American football movies I may have seen it.

Back to New Zealand... Its cool that the AB's are going back into Super 14, now there will be some more action! (that i will miss anyway).
I think it was a good idea to keep them out of the season for a while, I think we need them at their best for the world cup! anyone agree? disagree?

They've all had their own individual conditioning...

Strength training etc. for most of them.

I get the feeling that they haven't actually been playing a lot of rugby though... just training. They've said not to expect too much of them just because of it, and I'm inclined to agree. Just because you're in the peak of physical condition doesn't mean you're on the top of your game.

I agree with it completely... by the end of the Super 14 they should be notably dominant I think.

Im certain they would all be drug tested regularly. And I doubt that they take steroids, they are very muscular, but in a small and agile way. They aren't HUGE like American Football players.
I think conditioning was a good idea, and as for not playing much of the actual game, now they are in the Super 14 so they should be in tip-top shape by the world cup.
