Typically, I dont have the time to read the Harry Potter books a gazillion times. I think it's sad that Harry Potter brainwashes some people ( not that it's a bad thing :-?

) But I feel as though you should actually have another life that's not centered around Harry Potter. Like I have some really good friends and they are obsessed with Harry Potter and talk about it constantly 24/7. The thing is, what are you going to do when Harry Potter ends FOREVER?

I've read all of them more than once, and most of them a lot more than that! :lol:

I usually get the urge to read one of them every once and a while, and then just read the ones that come after that one right after.

But as it gets closer to the release of the 7th, I might read the 6th again. And after I read the 7th, I'll probably start from book 1 so I can read them all straight through.

when it ends i'm probably gonna be sad for a couple days and then get obsesssed with some other books :lol:

i don't think i'm obsessed with the hp-books, but more with certain fanfic and fanart containing certain characters
and ofcourse i've read it more than once ... but then again, i've read most of the books i own more than once

Same here, books are good the first time though, but you notice a lot more about the book, charactors, and author once you read it twice. :-)

When the series is completed, I'll probably obssess for a few weeks- buy Deathly Hallows at midnight, finish it by 5-6 a.m., re-read the whole series by Sunday morning, cry a little, restrain myself from babbling about every little thing I've noticed while I'm on this random free Leadership course, spend my family holiday swapping thoughts with anyone who'll listen...that phase will last until I get my AS Level results, and then I'll go to either the Last Chronicals of Thomas Covenant by Stephen Donaldson or the Wheel of Time by Robert Jordan.

But there will always be a place for the HP books in my heart- I've loved them since Philosopher's Stone was first published in 1997, will continue to do so, and have read them all so many times I can practically recite each of them like a script and perform each character perfectly as I see them. You have no idea how much that irritates my brother, and bewilders the rest of my family...I think they'll end up being one of my set of 'comfort' books, joining the only series I've got by Piers Anthony.

Sounds like me,Q. I agree with you lovegood. I've read them each so many times since I was six. I'm going through Potter Nastalgia and trying to read all of the worn-out copies that I first read before The 7th, comes out. i can't even bring myself to say the,....*gulp*,....well you know,....the errrr....opposite of first. When the series....*another gulp*....stops. I feel as if a part of me will with it. And I know that this is true. The books are my Seven Horcruxes. :crying:

Ya, Harry Potter has become a part of my life. Im probably going to lock myself in my room and cry, after i read the seventh book, rather Harry dies or not. :cry:

At least we have to movies to look forward to, I guess. But then everything isn't going to be the same because Emma Watson is thinking about quitting the movies. What a wreck!
