Boycotting Already?

Some Tolkien fans love Peter Jackson and will boycot if he is not the director.
Other fans have nicknamed him "Butcher" (I post on a LOTR forum sometimes), because of his apparent lack of understanding of Tolkien's world.

I personally do not like what he has done, Sauron is not an eyeball and now whenever I attempt to start a serious Rowling Universe vs. Tolkien Universe debate, I have to explain that he did have a physical form--we just never see it in the Trilogy. It is mentioned in the Appendixes that Sauron in his alias as The Necromancer took the Third Dwarf Ring from Thorin's father himself.

We do see his form in the trilology, the start of the first movie contains Sauron in his physical form and flash backs to the forging of the ring also show it...

But I don't know where you got the idea that Tolkien fans love Peter Jackson because any Real fan hates him, only people who think they are fans because they saw the movie and liked it like him.

Having said that, I hate him to pieces but I'd be very annoyed if they got another director for the Hobbit because then the movie wont match the LotR ones.

I hope the hurry up and Make The Hobbit movie, it is my fave book. But it wont be good if it doesn't have the correct Gandalf, Gollum, Elrond and Bilbo in it.

I probably will end up seeing it just to see it, but I always knew I was in serious (if a bit crazed) Fandom if people are willing to boycott it. It expresses absolute connection and an ability to sacrifice for the greater good. Which is canon.

No its not, its one of my own dragons called Mogur...I have an art thread in the Great Hall and have supplied a whole gallery worth of avatars for the forum so most people are using my artwork on here.
