Meet everyone here in The Great Hall for general discussions. Here you'll find a friendly place to talk about all things under the magnificent magical ceiling...even stuff not connected with Harry Potter!

We've had one of the warmest Decembers ever - I can't believe it is January now and temperatures actually have not dipped below 8 during the daytime (or at least down south!)
I hear Lapland doesn't have any snow either! But then in the South of England we don't get snow until the end of Jan either - that privilege goes to the Northerners or Scots.
Hey, we haven't seen any trace of snow yet up here in the North. It is strange and unnatural, but there's not much we can do about it. I mean, I never get that much snow where I am in Leeds- but my gran lives in the middle of the North York Moors. She's usually waist-deep in snow from the end of November to February- but there hasn't been any snowfall at all since last March.

Yeah it's totally crazy! My theory is that the seasons will eventually do a complete flip and England will have summers in winter and NZ will have winter in summer!
Don´t forget Sweden haven´t had a snowflake at all this winter.. the trees are having buds and small flowers are trying to get the hang of what month it really is..

Woot- gale force winds and traces of snow, a month and a half late but finally here! We have fences being blown over, roof tiles being damaged and everything now. Aren't we lucky?
